I read what is there so far. It's good! It is understandable and written in an interesting way. Just one part "intellectual excitement ended up sparkling", did you mean sparking?

There were a couple of errors in it that will probably earn you a C,
the way the paragraph was constructed was a bit off and there was some false information in there, for instance, the people back then we're actually extremely intelligent .
also today is 3/15/15. -
Also, one typo, 'expert' into 'excerpt'.

Can you explain how it's off? And yes, they were intelligent, but they were focused on relying on the church. My history teacher herself said those words and that's why I put them in the essay. I can change it, though.
