Even before now I have never seen you as a bad person. You are still the same guy I met 3 years ago. The one who helped me get through a difficult time in my life that I doubt I could have done alone. You are still that caring guy I've always known. You say that your words are influencing me to think and say the things I do..but there not because I know that past all of those defenses, mean things and weird confusing analogies that i will never understand, is the boy that i met who told me his name was spencer and took away of the sadness that caused me to hurt. I will never forget that. And I will never stop believing in you. And that is not a fake belief or whatever you want to call it.

3 years ago you met some dorky little kid who in a panic to feel special and unique made up a lie about having multiple personalities. He used this lie to elicit pity and sympathy out of others. When he met you he had never had a girlfriend before and saw your interest as something new and exciting. His desire to listen and help with your problems was that need to be special and unique taking form through another means. Back when I felt like being a sympathetic ear all the time would be it's own reward. That feeling has long sense been drained away.
