Jake glanced at Williams father, keeping his hood hiding his face. "How are you, sir?" He mumbled, barely audible.

"what did you say?" my father said

Jake attempted clearing his throat, and just a bit louder, he repeated, "I said, 'How are you, sir?'"

"oh, I am a bit tired" he said, a minute later, he was going upstairs

"Wait!" Jakes voice cracked. "I have to ask you something!"

he turned around, "what is it?" he asked, he didn't know why he was hiding his face

"Do you mind if I stayed the night?" He asked quietly. "Its not a school night...and, yeah..."
