I took a deep breath, and tried to relax, soon, I went over to the tv and started watching

Jake examined the black eye and many, many bruises and scratches he'd aqccuired from his fathers beating. He bit his lip, held back tears, put up his hood, and left the bathroom.

I was watching something funny to try to forget about what happened to me

Jake was trying be evasive about his appearance as he took a seat by William.

I looked over at jake and saw that he looked a bit injured, but he was trying to keep things hidden, "are you hurt at all?" I quietly asked

Jake grimaced, and his hoarse voice whispered,
"I don't know what you're talking about...." -
I sighed and decided to forget about it, "tell me if you want me to change the tv channel" I quietly said

Jake nodded very slowly, as if not to hurt himself more. "Oka-" his weak voice forced him to cease his chatter.

I heard that he didn't finish, his voice didn't sound right, but I tried to ignore it and continue watching the tv

Jake attempted envisioning himself going back home. He just couldn't...He already could barely move right. He gently laid himself down on the couch. He closed his eyes, hugging a pillow. Much to his oblivion, when he laid down, hishood had faen, exposing his facial injuries.

I could finally see his face, he WAS injured, "jake?" I quietly asked

Jake just barely heard him through the ringing in his ears. "Wha-?" He mumbled.

"you are hurt!" I said, I should of tried harder to find out

Jakes lip quivered as he kept his eyes shut tight. "I don't know what you're talking about!"
