  plot based off powerless series
  
  so in this world there was like, this sort of plague that hit everyone, and it caused a lot of troubles for ppl- but somehow from the plague, a lot of ppl got powers. and there were also ppl who didn't get powers, and the king started to kill off the ppl who got powers bc he was worried that if the elites (the ppl w powers) would reproduce w ordinaries (ppl w no powers), the powers would start to disappear. so the ppl w the stronger powers were separated from the ppl with the weaker powers bc of that stuff too. so then there's c1, a girl with no powers but pretends to be a psychic to stay alive with her bsf. and then one day by fate she ended up stealing from and then saving c2, who she had no clue was the prince and future enforcer (the guy whos supposed to kill the ordinaries) of the kingdom who hated her kind, ordinaries. word gets around abt her saving the prince and somehow she gets put into these trials (basically giving the hunger games) and she gets taken to the palace to compete in it. and this year, the trials are "unlike any before" (oo so special-) anyways, c2 is very intrigued with c1 and basically ends up working with c1 during the trials, he's falling for her despite his father absolutely hating her and that c2 is supposed to hate her but he js can't hate her (and he's all, she's my undoing, my ruining, vicious little thing RAHHHHH) anyways there's a lot more that happens after the trials, she runs away and he has to hunt her down and they fall for each other more, and then he takes her back to the castle and she has to marry his brother for stuff lol

  bro i have an idea for an rp plot based off a reel i saw lol
  
  c1: i can't believe that we finally got superpowers!
  c2: i know, isn't this awesome?
  c1: let me check this out- i'm pretty sure i can control light now! what did you get?
  c2: i don't know for sure, but it looks like i can control antimatter-
  c1: dude, this is gonna be so awesome! i cannot wait to start saving the world together!
  c2: i know, right? ... uhm, but- but actually, what do you mean by, "saving" the world?
  c1: y'know, we're superheros now, so we should like, use our powers to fight crime and save the world~
  c2: but the world doesn't need saving- ... it just- needs to be fixed. *insert intense ominous music lol*
  
  that was the audio from the reel- and basically that led me to the story idea >:) so basically there's two main chars, c1 and c2, and they both get the opportunity to earn their own superpowers. they live in a society where only a select few people every few years or so get chosen to be "heros" of the city or kingdom (trying to decide if this should be more fantasy or more modern/dystopian) and once the new "heros" gain their powers, the old ones disappear. but to get those superpowers that have to go through a series of trials to basically win and earn them. the kingdom or city is led by a group of high power council supers, the only group of people who have powers other than the "heros" and they are the ones who make the trials and stuff. so c1 and c2 get chosen and they go through the trials. but for each individual person who gets chosen they go through different unique trials. and during the trials, c2 finds out some dark secret about the council (idk what it would be yet, but it would totally have smth to do w the old "heros" disappearing) and so c2 is like, yeah, sm s--- needs to be fixed pronto- then sm more stuff happens, maybe c2 loses a loved one and then later gets into a fight w c1 and c2 basically becomes the "villain" bc they want to fix the corrupt system and stuff lol and c1 and c2 totally end up getting together to get rid of the s---ty government (and then actually get together ;))
