Derrick decided to just avoid her now, that he saw her.
Mmkay. -
She frowned, checking the entire upstairs but not finding him.

Derrick slid down the railing downstairs, and snuck into the kitchen for a quick snack.

She headed down the stairs, heading for the kitchen.

He grabbed a bag of chips and looked for some soda to drink. "Ugh.." he groaned. His father must've drunken the last of the Cherry soda. "Orange will do..." Derrick mumbled.

Her ears perked up when she heard something in the kitchen. She walked in, ears flattened and her tail in between her legs, wrapping around her right knee.
"Hi..." -
Derrick looked up. "Hi..." he mumbled. She was still pretty. Derrick forced a smile.

Her ears rose a little, but she didn't meet his gaze. "You're Derrick, right?"

"Yep." Derrick opened the bag of chips, taking a couple in his mouth. "The one and only." he swallowed. "You must be.... Uh..." he trailed trying to remember her name.

"Evelyn...," she muttered, not moving.

"Sweet." Derrick popped more chips into his mouth.

She glanced up at him.

Derrick opened the soda, and took a good swig of it. "Want some?" he offered the chips.

She shook her head. "No thanks." Her tail slowly unwound from her leg and resumed its normal position.

Derrick shrugged. "Your loss.." he mumbled while shoving some more chips in his mouth.
