I watch Gabrielle closely. I can tell she isn't telling the whole truth, but I am more confused as to why the spell isn't working on her like it should. I look at Tatyana with a confused look on my face and wait for her to explain.
I walk a few yards away, and motion for Ambrosia to come over. "I don't know what could've happened," I say, "Maybe she's one of us few that have magic, and doesn't know about it yet. Oh . . . we didn't think about them. The others that have magic."
My eyes widen as Tatyana explains. "Others? How many others? We can't let them stop us. We are going to save the planet from these wretched humans." A small smile forms on my face and I glance at Gabrielle before turning back to Tatyana. "You know...There is something royals always have that we don't? An heir. If she doesn't know she has magic, we can raise her to be like us and use her power like us. What do you think?"
"We'll see what happens. I really don't want to kill." That would be very unfortunate. For both us and them. "I think we should wait to tell her. We don't quite know each other yet. We should wait at least one or two days before we tell her."
I smile. "She is to be our daughter, is she not? How could we ever grow envious of her? And to keep her from becoming a power-greedy tyrant, we will teach her kindness.I can teach her how to nurture life in the garden and maybe a small farm. You can teach her to be confident but not cocky, help her control and grow her powers, and to use her powers for good."
