Hey this is Posion Rain! Sorry, but my old user got hacked into so I had to make a new user. Some jackwagon of a guy got my old password right and now I can't do ANYTHING on there.

I'm still going to make Entwined, but I wanted to do another one. Sorry if this one is really long, I just really like to write! Please comment and rate and I hope you like this one!

  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. *The little girl ran through the meadow, chasing the butterflies that floated in the air. The sun was gental in the meadow, all thanks to the little girls father. He watched her. "Daddy watch me!" She said. And the grass around her starts turning colors. First to red, then to blue, and finally it stopped at pink. Her father laughed. "Very good Bella." Though it wasn't one of her gifts that she was born with, Bella continued to gain new abilities as she got older. Soon she would lose the lesser ones - like changing the grass color - and the more powerful ones would stay. "Oh," she exclaimed, "Daddy its so pretty!" While Bella was running around, her father caught a flash of movment. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a black bird land in a tree, it's feathers an unnaturally inky color. It seemed to watch the little girl, it's yellow eyes not missing any movment she made. Four sheiks were carried over the air and soon four little kids were visible, the small girl running from three boys. "Bella!" She yelled. "Help me!" Bella turned just as her friend ran right into her. They fell into the tall grass, it's orignal color retunring. The three boys skidded to a halt, only to look at the tangled girls and start laughing. Bella sat up, her hair a wild mess. "Daniel! You made Jade hit me!" The curly haired one, Daniel, said, "Not me! Ren was the one that started chasing her." Daniel pointed to the boy that was rolling on the ground with laughter. Bella smiled at Daniel and lauched herself at him. Daniel fell to the green grass, his eyes wide with shock. "Your it!" Bella yelled and dashed away before he could catch her. The five kids played around. The father watched with amusment in his gaze, and only when the air by him chilled did he stop smiling. "Hello Osis." A cool voice said. Osis whirled around to see a man up against a tree. The very tree that the strange bird sat in. "Michael." Osis crosses his arms over his chest. The kids didn't notice the two adults, too caught up in there games. "Why are you here brother? You have been banished." Osis's voice shook the trees nearby. Michael chuckles, but his hands balled into fist against the bark. "What do you mean? I've come back home." "Have you forgotten what happened? The family you killed?" Michael waved it away, like it was no big deal. "I couldn't help it. I was thirsty." "You were supposed to hunt animals! Not humans." Osis's voice booms over the meadow, which has become cold and dark. The kids had stopped playing, watching from the trees. If it wasn't for Tristan holding Bella back she would run to her father and the strange man. "I didn't come here to bicker. I've come for my rightful kingdom." Osis stiffened. "Oh come now," Michael said, "You must have heard the Ancient Ones newest prophecy. They've seen what will happen. And, of course, she will be mine Osis. The girl. They have declared it." Michael eyes sparkled more and more as he finishes his sentence. Osis on the other hand, pales. " But she must make the choice. The Ancient Ones said that as well. And shes not yours." Osis said. Bella rips away from Tristan, running to her father. "Daddy!" She screams. And everything happens so fast. Bella runs into her dad's legs, Michael makes a grap for her, and Osis strikes him across the cheek, sending him spawrling across the meadow. "How dare you..." Michael spits black blood from his mouth. "You are my brother!" Michael says. Osis glares at him. "No. You were once my brother. If you had done it differently, our friendship wouldn't be dead." Michael lauches himself at Osis, crashing Bella to the side. "No!" She yells. Osis and Michael lunge at each other, barely being able to hit the other. Michael wrestles Osis to the ground, tapping his forehead twice. Osis stops moving, only his eyes and mouth mobile. "Bella! Run!" Michael looks down at Osis with a dark look. "Never underestimate a vampire. Never." Bella was frozen, her arms rigged at her sides with anger and fear. Michael pushes his long hair out of his eyes. "Bella." His voice is honey, tempting. Osis struggles, trying to move. But he can't. "Come to me child." Michael extends a bone white finger toward Bella, beckoning her to him. But she didn't move, her anger growing out of control. The air was alive with electricity, it's yellow-white color lighting up the air. Bella glares at Michael, her powers growing out of control. On the ground, Osis speaks. "By my blood I command that she is gone, erased from this place. And that her memory be no more. Her powers gone." Osis's voice was coming from everywhere, powerful and demanding. His eyes snap open, glow a bright white as he speaks. The air around Bella glowed, the electricity gone. Her powers wove with her fathers, the air around her growing brighter. Michael backed away. "Bella! No!" Four screams cut across the sky. Bella found her firends eyes, there terror clear in them. "Help!" She screamed. "Please help! Daddy!" But her father wasn't really there anymore. He was calling upond his true powers. Her skin dimmed and soon was see through. She raised her hands in front of her face, the tears that were streaming down her face sliping into the grass. "Help." She whispered. Her friends were trying to get ot her, struggling against an unknown force. Osis rose from the ground. "I command that you forget." Bella felt pain slip under her skin as she started forgetting. The bright lights swallowed the tiny girl, erasing her*
  2. "Wake up Bella!" Someone yells at me. I open my eyes, and see my mom looking down at me with concern written all over her face. The room is full of a soft glow, not so bright. It must be cloudy outside. "You ok? I heard you screaming." She looks around my room, probably looking for a creeper hiding. My throat is thick and raw from yelling so I just nod. "You sure?" "Um, yeah. It was just a dream." Her forehead wrinkles. "Another dream?" "Yeah. But it's not so bad." I say as causally as I can. There bad, and always vivid. The stuff I dream about would be a great horror moive. At least tongiht it was better than it could have been. If she knows I'm lying she doesn't say anything. Just smiles. There rare with her now a days. Ever since Henry died in a car accident, she hasn't been the same. Neither has my dad. Mom wraps her silk robe tighter around herself. "Alright. But you should tell me if they get worse." She looks at me one more time. "I'm going to get ready for work, which means you should get ready for school." I nod and she bends down to hug me. "And don't forget I'm going to leave later tonight. I feel horrible that I'm leaving you home alone on your birthday." "I'll be fine. I'm going out to eat with Jade and-" I stop when I realize what I just said. Jade. My eyes water, but I refuse to cry. My mom smiles sadly at me. I miss her. She's been missing for over a month. And no one can find her. For the first week I would sneak out and look for her. Not my best idea, but she was my best friend. Still is if they can find her. We don't know much, but we do know that she was taken. I take a shaky breath. "Me and Chloe are just going to eat out or...something." I finish lamely. My mom gives my shoulders a squeeze. "They'll find her. Promise." I nod and she hugs me. When she leaves she closes the door. I sigh. Happy freaking birthday to me.
  3. When I go into the kitchen, my mom's talking on her cell phone. She's glued to it 24/7. Being one of the best lawers has it's ups and downs. At least she gets payed real well. She looks up from some papers that she's holding when I come in. "Yes. Yes. Well, I'm coming out tonight." She's walking around the kitchen, her heels clickling against the tile. "No. Today's my daughters birthday. No I told her-" She gets cut off. Her blond hair is slowly coming out of the messy ponytail she put it in. "Extra? Why is this so important? No. I understand. Yes. I'll be there." And she slaps closed her phone like she's making her problems disappear. I open the fridge and pull out the orange juice jug. "What was that all about?" I ask, pouring myself a glass of squeezed oranges. My mom sighs and sits heavily on the barstool. "My boss wants me to come out earlier than ten. Which means I have to leave here at noon." I almost choke on my juice. She's not going to be here for my birthday? At all? It's bad enough that my dad's on a business trip and won't be here for my birthday, but both my parents? "I'm so sorry Bella. I promise I'll make it up to you." I plaster a fake smile on, hoping she won't look at my eyes. "No it's ok. I'll be fine." My mom hugs me, her perfume smelling like peaches and rubbing alcohol. "How about before I have to drive you to school, I give you your present?" She doesn't wait for me to say anything, just runs upstairs. I try finishing my juice, but it's lost all flavor. Which really stinks because I love orange juice, no matter how bad it is for you. Before my mom can come down I dump it down the drain. Something catches my eye and I look out the window above the sink. My mom comes down the stairwell, holding a card and small box. She puts it in front of me on the counter. "Happy birthday honey." She kisses my forehead. I open the card. It has a flower on the front and the inside is all about how my mom loves me. I hug her. "Thanks." I say. Then I look at the box. It's old, the wood dark. There's scratches and notches on the sides. On all the edges gold swirls on the wood. The top has all the gold swirls meeting in the middle, forming a small flame. The box is beautiful. "Wow. Thanks mom" I say. She laughs. "You have to open it." And I do. The box is covered with red velvet, soft to the touch. And sitting on the velvet is a necklace. The chain is long and gold, shining in kitchen lights. There's a fat rectangle that hangs from the chain. It's a jewel. Blood red with gold veins running through it. Ruby. There's gols ivy that is on the front, weaving around the jewel. "Oh. My. Gosh." It's all I can say. I pick up the necklace and under it is a letter. I shut the box, wanting to save the letter for later. The necklace sparkles with an unearthly beauty. "You like it?" My mom asks. I nod, looking at the necklace. I've seen it somewhere. But where I don't know. "It must have cost you so much money." I say. But my mom shakes her head. "The box and necklace came with you." "And the letter?" I ask. "Oh there's not any letter." My mom says. I open the box. The small yellowing paper is still there. "See?" I say pointing inside the box. My mom peers inside. "There's nothing there." I take the box and look inside. And there's nothing there. I really am crazy. "Thought I saw something." I mumble. "If there was a letter when we found you then it would be in there." She says. "Hey. You should wear the necklace. It would go with your sweater." I look at my cream colored sweater and the dark jeans. I kiss my mom on the cheek and run upstairs into my bathroom. My sweater is nothing compared to the necklace. I look up and my strawberry blond needs to be brushed. Again. I grab the brush and use both my hands to comb through my wild mane of hair. At least It's full and not thin. But today it has decided to curl itself. Ugh, my hair has issues. I go down stairs, my heart and head happy. Maybe today won't be that bad.
  4. I sit outside the school building, talking to my friend, Chloe, while we wait for the bell to ring. "That's a wicked cute necklace." "Chloe." "Yeah." I smile at her. "You have to stop saying 'wicked'. Or I'm going to beat your head in." She laughs. Ever since she visited her grandparents in Boston, she has adapted the habit of saying wicked in every other sentence. "Come on. It is. You can't argue with my logic." "What logic?" "Chloe's logic." I roll my eyes. "So, were did you get that wick-uh, cool necklace?" "Better." I say. She ignore's what I said. "Were did you get it?" "My mom gave it to me. She said that it was with me when they found me." Chloe's brown eyes almost pop out of her head. "You know what this means?" "Uh, no. But I'd love to hear what you have in mind." "One, you were found at your parents steps. Two, you get," She mouths the word 'wicked', "jewerly." "And this has to do with what?" "It's like in the books. Girl adopted. Get's older. Finds jewerly. Meets a wickedly cute guy. And bingo, love story." "You said wicked." I point out. "Is that all you got? And I said 'wickedly'. Which is diffrenet from the forbidden word. And did you hear anything besides the word wickedly?" "Well yeah. But my life's not a movie or book. This is real life, not a fairy tale." "Kill joy." She mumbles, but smiles up at me. The first bell rings. Just then a gust of wind makes the trees shake and paper flyes everywhere. While Chloe starts walking a paper hits my ankel. I bend over and pick up the dirty paper. My heart sinks when I see it. There's Jade's smiling face staring at me, her eyes bright. My heart gives a little squeeze. I miss her so much. I throw the paper away when I jog to keep up with Chloe.
  5. The day passes in a blur. Kids wishing me a happy birthday. Teachers telling me to stop talking. Girls glaring at me like I'm a disease they don't want to catch. Guys staring at my chest. Regular high school. Except Chloe got detention. "How?" I asked when school got out. "When I was in science and I was talking. You know Mr.Jones. He doesn't like noise when Ms.Summers is in there. Hey how much you want to bet they do it in the supply closet?" "Eww." I say. I don't want to think about two of my teachers doing it at all. We come up to a door titled 'Detention Room'. "See you at six." She mumbles, then truges in the room. I walk out to the parking lot, only a few cars left. Then I remember that I don't have a car. And I live a good five miles away. I groan. Isn't the universe supossed to be good to me on my birthday? I find Chloe's car and open it with the spare key she gave me, and put my backpack in the trunk. If I'm walking I don't want to carry a backpack that weighs sixty pounds. So I start down the street. The sky's a clear misty blue. The clouds are whisps across the sky, blending in with the blue perfectly. Some birds fly across the blue-gray sky. The buildings seem to have a brighter color to it, and there's not so many cars. It's a really nice day. And I spent in a dusty building with kids that I couldn't stand or I could deal with. My phone rings, which makes me jump. I had been lost in thought - not such a bad thing. "Hello?" I ask. There's no answer. "Hello?" I ask again. And I get dead air. I put my phone back in my pocket. Maybe someone got the wrong number. Or they wanted to prank call someone but got cold feet at the end. Whatever. Today's to good of one to be spoiled. I start walking again, my shoes making crunching nosies in the snow. And then I felt a rough hand over my mouth and one jerking me back.
  6. I get pushed in an ally. It smells like rotting garbage, which makes my eyes start to water and my stomach heave. There's four guys standing close to me. "Get her in the car Chris." I look for who said that. "Now." My stomach rolls. None of there mouths moved. And there eyes are all red. And I mean there WHOLE eye. There's no pupil, no nothing. What are they? Someone grabs my arms, and pulls them behind my back. I start to scream. "Take care of her." Again, none of there mouths move. One of them reaches into his jacket, and pulls out ductape. 'Come on,' I say to myself, 'think.' The guy with the tape comes closer to me and I wait until his foot is touching the tip of mine. I kick his knee backwards, which makes a sicking crunch. He goes down, cussing and groaning. The guy holding me takes my arms and crosses them across my chest, holding my wrists. My arms make a 'x' against my chest. I breathed deeply and tug my hands down as fast and hard as I can. The guy goes flying through the air, hitting something near me. The other two gape at me in anger and surprise. I take this chance and run as fast as I can down the street, pumping my arms and legs as hard as they'll go. I hear two growls behind me. They sound more animal than human. I run harder, trying to ignore the snitch in my side. There footsteps fall futher and futher back and when I turn the corner I can't hear them at all. I go into the nearest store, which is a Wal*Mart. The guy at the front looks at me like I'm the weirest person. Probably because it's thirty degrees outside and a smart person wouldn't go running in the bitter cold. But I don't care. What were those things? And why did they want me? I shudder as I think of some pretty nasty things. But there eyes. Either they were contacts so I wouldn't see there real eye color, or they're something else. I shake my head. Contacts. It has to be. There's no such thing as creepy creatures. Chloe needs to stop telling me the stories in her books. I round the corner and walk out the back way, just in case those guys were following me. When I open the door a gust of wind hurls me against the wall. The trees are shaking in the powerful wind, the sky is darker, no longer that lovely shade of blue-gray. It's almost black. I rub my sleeved arms. Why hadn't I worn something heavier? I start walking and decide it's time to take the bus of a taxi. I walk down the streets until I find a bus pick-up place. A woman and man holding hands are the only ones with me. But we all shake when the wind turns from firece to firece and cold. Finally the bus comes around and we nearly fight to get in. I fish in my pocket, looking for spare change. When I find enough I put it in the little thing that takes my money and sit towards the front. The plastic seats are cold and hard, but at least the air's nice and toasty. My phone goes off and I look at it. Chloe texted me. 'hey, just got out. stuck in traffic. i'll get there as soon as i can.' I text her back, 'thats ok. decided 2 walk home but found a bus. im riding in it rite now.' Less than a minute later I get, 'omg! i forgot that you dont have a car. ur parents need to get u one. like now.' 'thats not going to happen anytime soon.' I text back. 'sorry if ur bithday is sucky.' I smile. Chloe can be lots of things. But she's mostly kind-hearted. When she's not stubborn. 'not so bad.' Then I think of the four guys. Better if I leave that part out. She would call the cops and I would have to tell them what happened. 'Well when I was walking down the street, four guys jumped me. They were talking but there mouths weren't moving. And they're eyes were bright red.' That would be the quickest way to the mental ward in a straight jacket. Not something I had in mind for my birthday. 'G2G. see u later.' I sit back and watch the window become streaked with snow. It's falling heavly, and the bus window wipers are working over drive. But having it snow like there's no tommorow is better than being tied up in the back of some car.
  7. I turn up the heat, pulling my blanket tighter around me. How did it get so cold? It's like Jack Frost was here. The coffee maker starts making a dripping sound, which means it's almost done. I shiver again. The heat is up to eighty. If I push it any more it might brake. Not the best thing. So I walk into the kitchen, and grab my faviorte mug. It's red with black zebra print all over it. I pour the coffee in and grab the suger. The smell wafting through the kitchen is rich and sweet. In a way it's nice being here by myself. There's no noise except when I make it and the house seems bigger. The house phone goes off and I grab it. It's Chloe's house number. Uh-oh. "Hello." "Hey, it's me." Chloe says. "What's up?" I ask. "Well my parents won't let me out because of the storm." She says, upset. I look out the kitchen window. Sure enough there's snow pelting the once green garden. "So I can't come over. Sorry but my mom's being really dumb about this whole thing." She must be by herself. She would never say anything like that with her siblings around for fear of being black-mailed. I don't know if I should be upset or relieved. I do wish we could hang out tonight, but I kinda like the whole house to myself. "That's ok. We can hang tommorow or something." I say. "Sure." Chloe says. I decide to watch a movie. I walk to the little closet. Ok, 'little' is an understatement. You could fit a car in here with left over space. It came with the huge house. I still don't know why we moved into such a large home. There had been only four of us, and this house could have fit six people. But now, as a family of three, the house seems bigger than it really is. I find Nemo, one of my favorite movies, and pop it in the DVD player. I sit on the couch, drapping the blakent over my legs. The flat screen shows the old pre-views, the colors looking bleak on the screen. I sip my coffee, the hot liquid slowly warming me up. When the movie starts my stomach growls. I ignore it, wanting to be lazy instead. Lighting lights up the sky, the snow coming down hard. Thunder shakes the house. What's up with this storm? It's been like this since I got home. Sure the ride and walk to my house had been cold and white, but nothing like this. I watch as Dory touches the baby jellyfish when I hear someone pounding on the door and yelling my name.
  8. I freeze, my heart pounding incredibly fast. This day has been the worst. The person yells again and it sounds more like a girl. "BELLA!" It sounds like...Jade. I sprint to the door, trying to get the lock un-done. But my hands seem to big, to clumsy. Finally I swing open the door, it banging against the wall. "'Bout time." She says, her teeth chattering. "Jade?" "Who else?" She smiles at me, her dark red hair curled at the edges. The snow and wind swirl together behind her, making her look almost evil. Jade rubs her arms with her hands. "Mind if I come in? If you haven't noticed it's kinda cold out here." I grab her wrist, pulling her in the house. "I can't believe your really here! I thought-" She cuts me off with a hug, her cold arms wrapped around my back. "I missed you. But I need to talk to you. You have time?" "Time," I laugh, "I have lots of time. If you haven't noticed my step-parents aren't here." I gester around the house. "Good." She says, happy. And she almsot sounds relieved. Huh. We walk into the kitchen, me asking if she wants anything. I think after being gone for a very long time that she would at least be hungary or even tired. Heck she could have shown up naked. But here she is, fully dressed. And looking healthy as ever. She shakes her head. "No. I'm fine." I shrug. My necklace heats up under my sweater. I pat at it, feeling it's heat through my thin clothes. "What did you need to talk to me about?" I ask. "Well here's the..." Her voice fades away into the background. My ruby grows hotter nad hotter against my skin. Everything twists and becomes soup like. I can hear Jade's voice but can't make out her words. What's happening? I shake my head slowly. "Bel-Bella?" Her voice is slow and deep. Her face becomes disoriented. She yells for something - or someone. And leaves. Black spots blink in and out of my vision. The air drops fast from warm to chilly. Sticky black tentacles slither toward me. They wrap around my legs, leaving them numb and cold. I feel heavy and slow. I try moving backwards, but I can't feel anything under my waist. They slither up my stomach - and shriek like they're on fire. I watch as they fall off me, as they crawl away. I feel colder without them on me. And strangely empty. I fall to the tile with a thump, hitting my hip hard against the tile. I slip into the blackness that covers my vision.
  9. My head throbs, and my legs ache. I feel like I lost a fight. Badly. I shift my weight, rolling on my side. And start to fall. I shriek and stick out my arms to catch myself, but I'm already on the capreted ground. Fluff and hair get in my mouth, making me spit. "Bella! Are you ok?" A gruff voice says. A pair of hands grab me by the shoulders, and with surprising strength, picks me up and sits me down on my couch. I flinch away from the unfamiliar guy in front of me. "Who are you?" I snap, my tone sharper than I thought it would be. The room spins and I have to hang on to the couch end from falling over into the weird guy. But he is - as Chloe would say - yummy. He has shaggy sandy colored hair, the kind that, no matter what, will always be in your eyes. When he swipes them across his forehead I can see that his eyes are a light brown color. I think there's green specks swirling in them. And he's ripped. It's not over the top buff, but it is noticable. I try to look away, but, thanks to my girl mind, I can only gawk at him. Everything about him works together. The full lips, the high cheekbones, and the dark long lashes. Chloe would approve times ten. I focus on the fact that he's a creeper in my house. Even if he's an insanely hot creeper. He calls over his shoulder and Jade walks in the room, her hands up in a surrender motion. Well at least she's not stupid. Because I'm going to rip into her. She had to let this guy in my house. "Jade..." I say in a warning tone. Her cheeks flush slightly. "Before I die I would like to explain. And if that doesn't work I'd like a ten second head start." "Fair enough." I say. The guy looks amused and I don't miss the 'we'll talk later' look that Jade shoots him. She walks over and sits by me. Mister Hot and Creepy leaves the room, probably getting the hint. The living room looks the same, just the TV is off and the clock says that it's one. Wait...one in the morning?!? "Why was I out for," I quickly do the mental math, "five-n-half hours? And what were those, those black things? And why do I feel like I got the crap beaten out of me?" I say, firing question after question at her. "First off, slow down. Second, I'm getting to that part." I cross my arms over my chest. "Ok. Shoot." In the other room I hear a crash. "Sorry! Didn't mean to!" Some guy yells. I glare at her and she sighs. "How many gu-" "Three." She says, cutting me off. Usually I would have thought I died and gone to heaven, but last night was, well, weird. Am I just stressed about the guys that jumped me? What about the three guys? It wasn't like Jade to be as reckless as letting three guys in my house. I'm just glad my parents aren't home. If they were and they caught us we would all be cleaning the toilets with our toothbrushes. "Why?" I ask. Usually I'm a lot more easy-going, but I can be stubborn like a bull too. "Ok, first I need to tell you why I left home." "You left? But the cops said you were taken." "Well yeah. Mortals aren't quick to see the gray parts in there black and white world." "Mortals?" Did she really says mortals? "Yes." I raised my eyebrow. "My parents know the truth. They know that I had to leave." "Why?" I ask. "I'm a witch. My moms one too. But my dads a vampire." She bites her bottom lip, the skin tearing in little spots. "What have you been smoking? There's no such thing as witches and vampires." Has Jade always been this crazy? "Yes there is." "Show me," I say, un-crossing my arms and crossing my legs,"Do something witchy." There's a hint of a smile on Jade's lips. "You don't believe me?" "Not one bit. For all I know you could have been jumping rooftops saying your Batman." "Woman." She corrects. I roll my eyes. "Fine. Batwoman. Sorry if I refuse to believe in story's that are for little kids." "I'm not lying and I'm not crazy. Why don't you believe me?" I throw my hands in the air. "Because! Witches, vampires, and little tiny fairies don't exist. There're made up. Fake." I nod, knowing I'm right. "Fine. You want something witchy." I hear her mumble. Jade reaches over and taps my forehead. Nothing happens. "Uh...what's that for?" She shakes her head, confused. "Why didn't it work? It's supposed to work." She taps my head again and nothing happens. "What are you trying to do?" I ask. "I was trying to show you this." She snaps her fingers and fire dances around her fingers. "Holy s---!" I yell jumping back on the couch. "Relax." She says, totally calm. Not at all like her hand is on fire. "It doesn't hurt. It's a simple spell that I learned at-" "Your hands on fire!" I exclaim. As I say it the fire dies away, her hand still in one piece. "How, how...?" I don't finish my sentence. Maybe I'm crazy. "You still don't believe me." She crosses her arms over her chest. "Nope. This is just a dream. Either that or I'm crazy." "Your not crazy! Remember when you use to see the flashes of light and the dark shapes?" "Yeah." "And you thought you were losing it?" "Yeah." I say again. "It wasn't your mind playing tricks on you. It was me. I was trying out my magic. I wasn't as careful as I am now." "Yeah right." "Just humor me, ok? Then, at the end of this, if you don't believe me..." She doesn't finish. "It couldn't hurt." I mumble. She looks satisfied and sits closer to me. "Ok, first off I'm a witch. Not the warty and cackling kind, but the super talented and sexy kind." "Little full if your self aren't we?" I say. She sticks her tough out at me, then gets all serious again. "But I'm also part vampire. I can run as fast as one and I 'm as strong as one. I don't drink blood, that's just gross. And I don't live forever. But I do live much longer than a regular human." How can she say this like it's normal? All this...crud. Vampires and witches. There not real. "Even if I believed what your saying, then why tell me now?" I ignore the satisfied look on her face. I don't believe anything. Yet. "You were too young. And stubborn. The only that has really changed is that your older. But there's something else." "What?" I ask, leaning closer, suddenly anxious to hear what she has to say. Even if anything could come out if her mouth.
  10. "It's-" "Jade." We both turn around. A different guy is standing by the kitchen door. He has blond curly hair that bearly brushes the bottoms of his ears. I can't tell what color his eyes are from over here but I'm pretty sure there a green color. And he's not as buff as the other guy. He does have some muscles, but he looks like he's built for speed. He's tall and drop dead gorgeous. "Yeah?" Jade asks. "We need to leave. Better get back before..." His eyes flicker to mine briefly, but it's enough to get my heart racing. Green. There defiantly a bright green. Jade seems to get it. "Ok. Tell Ren and Tristan we need to go." Ren and Tristan. Were have I hear those names before? I know those names, but were? He nods and leaves. But not before shooting me another quick glance. Was there happiness in his eyes or relief? Why would he be happy to see me. Unless he's happy about leaving. Jade sighs. "Sorry, we need to go. I'll see you soon." She gives me a quick hug. "Sure." I say, trying not to sound or look upset. I don't want to see her leave. She walks into the kitchen, where one other guy is still stands. "Tristan. Why are you still here?" Jade asks. He shruggs his shoulders. "I was waiting for you." He runs a hand through his black hair, his amber eyes twinkling. "Well, thanks. But we need to..." Jade trails off, her eyes narrowed, looking at something on the counter. I follow her gaze and find that she's staring at the little box that's buried under papers. I almost forgot that I had thrown the mail in it's general direction. "Bella. What's that?" She points at the box. "Um, a gift." I say nervously. The way she asked me, it sounded like a loaded question. The guy, Tristan, looks at the wooden box. "Whoa." He says, his amber eyes widening. "It's just a box." That held the prettiest necklace and a vanishing note. "Did it have anything in it?" She asks. "Well, yeah. This." I grab the golden chain and pull the gem out. I hear Tristan suck in his breath. They both seem frozen, both looking at the ruby. That's glowing. "Why's it doing that?" I ask, then feel stupid. Why would they know? I drop it and it bounces off my sweater. "We need to bring her with us. If it's what I think it is..." Jade says, looking up at Tristan. "Yeah, but what about-" "We'll figure that out." She cuts him off. "Um, hello? I'm right here." I wave at them. Jade turns to me. "Bella, we need you to come with us." "No. You both have clearly lost you minds." I back away, touching the metal banner for the stairs. Tristan looks over at Jade. "What happened to her sweet side?" "Her sweet side went out the window when three strangers showed up at her house with her friend." I say, my voice cold. For some reason he looks like I slapped him. Even if I hurt his feelings, I don't feel bad. Ever since Henry died I seem to have an on and an off switch for my emotions. I don't like thinking about the unpleasent things. So I go cold. Tristan comes to me, his hands held out in a way that you would do with a scared animal. I want him to go away. "Bella. It's a good idea to-" He doesn't finish. Instead he flys backward like someone kicked him in the gut. "Tristan!" Jade yells as he hits the stove. I grab my ruby, the jewel hot in my hand. Jade grabs his arm, helping him up. "Are you ok?" She asks. Tristan hold his side. "Yeah. I'm fi - damn it!" He squeezes his side that he hit harder. The other two guys run into the kitchen. How could they have heard him if they were outside? And then he does what I wish he wouldn't do. He looks up at me, his eyes wide with pain and surprise.
  11. Everybody else looks at me. It's only when my lungs start to burn that I realize I've been holding my breath. The one that picked me up when I fell of the couch looks at Tristan. "She beat the crap out of you, huh?" "Shut up Ren." Tristan growels. Ren holds his hands up in a surrender motion. "Call them as I see them man." Daniel looks up at me, his eyes burning into me. "Jade's right. I think you should come with us."
