  1. " Miss Dawn, you are to come with us to the Castle of Black." He said, his voice high, cold, cruel and dripping with disgust as he said my name. He reached out and grabbed my wrist firmly, so hard that I lost circulation. Then he started dragging me towards the gates, which opened with a strong gust of wind. I screamed and kicked and pulled but he wouldn't let go. I filled with anger. I couldn't let them get me out the gate, otherwise they would fade to the castle and all hope would be lost. All hope that my sister died for. Chitae and Mika died for. Mother and Papa died for.
  2. Thinking of them filled me with rage. A rage that burned so bright I couldn't hold it in. Then, the first True Sign came. I glowed, softly at first, then getting brighter, and brighter, until you could barely see me. The shadow let go of me as if I was red-hot. And I was. He couldn't touch me because now it was certain I wasn't just a girl. I was Light, a beacon of Hope, a drop of Sun, a Bright Light in the Darkness.
  3. I ran forwards, enlightened, straight past the shadows, towards the hole. I heard a cry of "Get her!" But I didn't care. I laughed, and a warm breeze blew in my face. Something I hadn't felt since I was 4. That's 7 years ago. I reached the hole and squeezed through it. As I ran towards a small forest the rage inside me died down, and the light got softer and softer until I was back to normal. But I didn't care.

As I ran towards a small forest the rage inside me died down, and the light got softer and softer until I was back to normal. But I didn't care.
  5. When I reached the forest, I glanced over my shoulder. The shadows were just getting out of the village. Perfect. I waited until they were close enough to see me, then ran into the forest so that they just saw my hair flying out behind me. I felt them running after me. After a few miles, I stopped, quickly flung myself up into a tree, and sat there, as the shadows ran past.
  6. Being light refreshed me. It gave me energy, new ideas. I laughed out loud, then swung down from the tree and went go look for my backpack. I left it in the forest to go and collect supplies. I've been travelling for 5 years, but I've never been that close to capture. I've only ever glimpsed the Shadow Knights.
  7. It didn't take me long to find. It wasn't very hidden, being roughly shoved under a tree root. I glanced around. No shadows. Then I bean't down, picked up my backpack and slipped under the root. I'd discovered this a couple of years ago, with Lisinia.
  8. It was kind of like an underground room. It was under the tree, so the roots and dirt made a roof. The entrance was covered with fallen branches, grass, leaves and other things that had gathered up. It was overly big, but it was big all the same. I flung of my backpack and opened it up. Inside, was a sleeping bag, a tent (complete with protective enchantments), a book called "Light of Fire", a lot of food, 3 bottles of water and a photo frame.
  9. I was running low on water and I needed a bit more food. I couldn't go back to the village because there'll still be enchantments. I'd have to forage for roots and berries. I could fill up on water at the lake easily. I decided to stay the night in the underground room. Taking out the sleeping bag, I spread it out. Then, I got the top of the tent and stuck it in a notch up in between the roots. Next I attached the corners to the ground, holding them down with rocks.
  10. I peeked out of my shelter, and saw only pitch blackness. I slid back inside and pulled a lot of branches, which actually looked a lot like bush, in front of the entrance. I crawled into my canopy and into my sleeping bag. The ground was surprisingly soft and I fell asleep quickly. I was woken a few hours later by a bright light. I sat up quickly. Glancing around, I saw that a small patch of dirt a metre or so away from me was glowing. Cautiously, I climbed out of my sleeping bag and towards the light. I hesitated then began to dig. Thats when I saw something.
  11. Cliffhanger! Ok this was longer than the other two and I am proud of myself. Hope you enjoyed!
