  1. Graduation came and went faster than I had anticipated. All of my friends were gathered into my backyard for the party my dear Aunt Lisa was throwing for all of us. It was a happy party, with one exception; Lisa had invited the Torettos over. Alec was sitting by himself, over by the deep end of the pool, mostly watching me. There was this glazed look in his eyes, and for some reason, it bothered the crap outta me. Most of us girls were in our bikinis, even though I was wearing trunks like the guys, I still had my bikini top on; which was black with pink and lime green skulls on it. We were all playing Marco-Polo in the pool when I had the desire to dive underwater and sneak up on Jason. I prowled under the surface, opening my eyes to seek out my prey. I spotted his plain black trunks and continued to creep up on him. I grabbed his leg, and I was pulled from below the surface of the water.
  2. I opened my eyes once I was finished sputtering and saw Jason grinning at me. I was in Jason's arms, and we were both laughing. "So ya think you could scare me huh?" he asked chuckling. "Well, I was hoping I could, but I failed." I said, smirking. "You can forget that dream," Jason replied. "I am a ninja like that."
  3. I poked Jason and wriggled from his grip and back into the water like a fish. I loved swimming; it felt like I was a water baby from the very beginning. I flipped over on my back and started to just float. I was moving around with my arms, and I had my eyes closed. I didn't realize it, but I had swum a little too close to the deep end. You can't exactly feel where you are when you're flipped over on your back with your feet up and swimming in no direction in particular. So somehow, I ended up practically kicking Alec in the crotch. Evidently, he didn't realize that I was floating either, because he was asleep. Yes that's right, that idiot had fallen asleep at a party, in the pool. The weird thing about it was that it was actually really loud out here.
  4. So I kicked him, and well, he kind of went underwater in shock. As soon I accidently, and I promise it was and accident, kicked him I shot up, not realizing what was happening. I saw him slowly sinking to the bottom of the pool. "Jason!" I screamed to get his attention. I saw him whip his head my direction, and then I dove under the water to try and pull Alec to the surface. I opened my eyes and caught a glimpse of everyone in the shallow end that was playing the game all the sudden start rushing over here. Jason was already halfway to me. I pointed down at Alec, who was now in the fetal position at the bottom of the pool. I got down to the bottom, and started pulling him by his waist to the top. He wasn't even trying. Jason got over to where I was and helped me finally get him out of the pool. "Oh my goodness, Alec," I heard Cassandra exclaim.
  5. He wasn't breathing. I had to do something so I did the mouth-to-mouth thing and blew air into him. "Erica, what are you doing?" I heard Jason ask me, annoyance in his voice. I was probably going to regret it later, but I had to do something. I put my head to his chest. I heard a beating, but it was faint. I pushed down on his chest at least ten times and then I blew some more air in his mouth. I heard Cassandra sobbing, and it made my heart ache. She was nothing but nice to me, but her son had done something I could ever forgive him for. But that was all irrelevant right now. I did the whole process again, and water came out of his mouth and he was coughing up a lung. He looked up at me and looked startled.
  6. "What happened?" he said, looking confused. "You almost drowned you idiot," I said, Jason wrapping a towel around me. "What were you thinking, falling asleep in the pool?" Alec glared at me. "If I remember correctly, I was the one who got kicked in the balls, remember?" I blushed. "Well, if you had been paying attention and weren't sleeping in the pool, you coulda gotten out of my way." I was about to punch Alec when Lisa stepped in and stopped me. Jason had grabbed my wrist and restrained me from hitting him.
  7. "Why don't we all just go inside and eat some burgers?" Lisa suggested. I rolled my eyes at the suggestion and just turned to Jason. He was looking at me with questioning eyes. "Don't look at me like that, I wasn't going to let him die." I said, circling my arms around his neck. Jason just smiled and kissed my left hand, which still had my engagement ring on it. "I know," he said.
  8. We all did go inside and eat, and we were all watching music videos. The adults were in the kitchen and us kids were all in the livingroom, sitting everywhere from on the couch to at the bar. Jason grabbed the remote and turned off the tv. This caused some protest. Okay a lot of protest, that was the best Type O-Negative video ever and he had just turned it off, of course we were going to be mad. "I have an announcement," he said.
  9. Oh crap, he was going to do this now? Well, might as well, gawsh. I got up and stood over by Jason, more behind him than beside him. I could tell Jason was nervous, but he didn't show it. "Erica and I are engaged," he said, hugging and smiling at me. There was a dead silence in the room. Then it became very loud. Cassandra didn't look surprised, Alec looked like he was going to throw up, and Laura's jaw was hanging open, while Trevor and Schelby were grinning. Ashley, Conner, Kenna, Danni, Bonnie, and Noah were all sitting there, and had the most confused looks on their faces. Aunt Lisa just walked to the kitchen as soon as she heard everybody start talking at once. Most likely she was heading for the man of her life, Jose, either that or Jim.
  10. Kenna was the first to talk. "Omigod. Why the hell didn't you guys tell us before? Where's your ring?" she demanded. I raised my hand up and showed her the ring that had been on my hand for a month now. "But, you've had that ring for.... awhile...now," Conner said, just now getting that this had gone on for a while now. I laughed at this. "You are truly special Conner." He smiled at me. "I know." Everything got kinda normal after that. Well, aside from the hilariously annoying honeymoon jokes, everything was fine. We all went back outside and swam some more and then the party was over. Jason stayed to help clean up, even though it wasn't his mess to clean up. But I went up to my room after everything was finished and listened to music as usual.
  11. I heard Jason walk into my room and closed the door. "That went rather well," he said, flopping down on the bed beside me. I snorted. "Yeah, after everyone got over the aftershock." Jason laughed. "It wasn't that bad. I'm just glad that you're Aunt Lisa didn't have a heart attack when everyone started to go crazy." I sighed and laid my head on him. "I'm just happy we got it done and over with." It was 9:30, and wrestling was on, so I flipped on my t.v. and watched as John Cena began to beat up Wayde Barrett. I laughed as Jerry "The King" Lawler, who was a commentary person, was making fun of his colleague, Michael Cole. I knew that Jason didn't care much for wrestling, but he didn't say a single word about it. Probably because he knew I would chunk the remote at his head.
  12. ***Alec P.O.V.** She had saved Alec. Both of them had really. He knew it was an accident. He was sitting on his bed, looking at the clock. It was 9:45. Erica was probably watching her favorite wrestling show, RAW. Alec's phone rang. It was Cheyenne. The girl who had cost him his happiness in life. "Hello?" he answered. "Hi honey," she said, all bubbly. Alec practically growled. "I am not your baby, nor will I ever be." Cheyenne laughed on the end of the other line. "That's not what you said last year now was it?" "Look. I made a stupid mistake and I would do anything to take it back." There was silence. "Whatever, you know that I'll get my way soon enough." "Yeah, okay, you keep thinking that you slut," Alec said, and hung up. He wasn't sure how much more he could take of that girl. There was a reason he dumped her, and it wasn't because of Erica.
  13. **Erica P.O.V.** The day that we told Jason's dad that we were getting married was the best day ever. I just, blabbered out that we were going to get married and he didn't say anything. He just had this goofy look on his face. Jason's dad isn't the most comforting person in the world. The whole group, including me, thinks that he used to be part of the Italian Mob or something because he has connections everywhere. I mean everywhere. He even looks like one of those old-school guidos. He had the hat, the Valentino suit, the Marc Jacob shoes, the tie, he had everything. I personally think that Jason doing "errands" is what taught him how to fight. "It's about time you guys tie the knot," Armando Gionni chuckled. He lit a cigar and sat down in his big, Victorian style armchair. "I'm surprised you had not noticed that Darky here had the hots for you since God knows when," Armando said to me. I smiled at him. "I should have, but I've been a clueless kid for a long time." "Well, I want to pay for everything; dress, ceremony, decorations, reception, everything," he told me.
  14. Jason went still. He hasn't exactly had the closest relationship with his father, but he was close enough that he would trust him with my life. "I can't let you do that. My Aunt Lisa has plenty of money, we can-" once, again, I was interrupted. The Gionni men had a habit of doing that, and it's starting to get on my last nerve. "Your aunt works too hard for her money. Don't get me wrong, she has plenty of it, but she should spend that on things she wants. I will pay for something that I want to. Kapeesh?" he said, putting out the cigar, noticing that I didn't like the smell of it. I sighed. If he was as stubborn as his son is, I was going to lose this battle. "Okay, but I want to pay for the dress," I said sternly.
  15. He thought about this for a moment, and then nodded. "I suppose that could work, on the condition that I see the dress before Darky here." He started calling Jason "Darky" when we were about in 6th grade, mainly because that's when all of us started getting into the Goth stuff. What was really funny was when all of Armando's friends started calling him that. It didn't bother Jason all that much; it kind of stuck with him after that. But he made it clear that he didn't want his friends calling him that. "You can go with me to pick out the dress if you want," I said, relieved that he didn't want me to do something too ridiculous. "I will remember that, now you two go play, I have work get done," Armando said to me as soon as his men Joey and Vinnie walked in the room.
  16. "Hiya Darky, Hi Miss Carmical," Joey said, tipping his hat my way. I nodded towards him respectively. Vinnie just nodded to me as well, and I did the same. They were both dressed as Jason's dad was, and were very intimidating. "It's not Miss Carmical for long. Darky is going to put a ring on that finger of hers," Armando said, proudly. Vinnie smirked slightly and Joey just laughed. "I never saw that one coming," he remarked sarcastically. Jason grinned at his father's friends, who were practically uncles to him. "We're gunna go now. Bye Dad, bye guys," Jason said, taking my hand and leading me out of the front door and into his car. "Wow, I thought I was going to pass out in there," said Jason. I blinked. Jason was usually calm, not bothered by anything. And now he claims he was going to pass out? "Why?" I asked, out of curiosity. "Did you not see my father's first reaction?? I thought he was going to have a heart-attack." "Oh, he didn't look like that very much," I replied. Jason's driving was getting a little hectic; he had just run two stop signs and was going 25 mph over the speed limit. I grabbed Jason's arm and squeezed. He looked down at the speedometer and then slowed down gradually. "I'm sorry babe," Jason said sighing. "I was just nervous because of my father. It won't happen again." We pulled infront of Aunt Lisa's house and Jason killed the engine of his very masculine car, I shook my head and scrambled into Jason's lap. The steering wheel was digging against my back, but right now, I didn't care.
  17. I took my hands and put them on both sides of his face and made him look at me. "You don't have to be perfect Jason. Just be you. Be the you that you have been for Bob knows how long." Instead of replying, he hugged me around my waist and put his head against my shoulder. I hugged him as tight as I could. Then the words that I had been thinking about all day slipped. "Let's move in together." Jason didn't say anything. I sat back and looked at him. He was thinking very hard about something. So I went on. "I mean, everybody knows that we're engaged now. Why not move in together? You practically live at my house anyways." I had gotten so excited about us moving in together, and the look on Jason's face was promising, that I started bouncing up and down like a little kid at Christmas. Now, think about this, you have to keep in mind that I am still in Jason's lap. So I didn't realize how awkward it was until, well, yeah. Let's just say it was a little, heh, way too late before I realized how weird it was.
  18. I opened the door on his side and got out. I walked up to the grass and sat down. I looked over at Jason, who was still in the car, and he was breathing heavily. It took everything I could not to sit there and start bursting out laughing. He finally got out of the car and when he did, he play-tackled me backwards. "I would love to move in with you, as long as you don't do that stunt again until you're eighteen or married or me," he growled in my ear after he pinned me on my stomach and he was on by back. "You got a deal, now get off of me," I said, laughing.
  19. Please don't hate me! lol Next part I may just have a surprise sneak peak of the dress!
