How hard do you rock?
August 6, 2007 - The Wiimote has proved itself a rather adaptable controller, not exactly in terms of its capabilities, which have remained constant, but rather in the number of plastic brackets into which it can be fit for different play experiences. Most peeps are, no doubt, already familiar with attachments like Nintendo's Zapper, Core Gamer's Blaster, and the various steering wheel attachments already on the market. There are also a number of pretty questionable Wiimote accessories on the market, like PEGA's Airplane Bracket and the various collections of golf, tennis, and baseball controller attachments that, at best, don't add anything to the experience, and at worst orient the Wiimote in an entirely unusable position.
Though somewhat miniaturized, Camy's Hero Pack emulates the iconic design of Link's weapons as closely as legally possible for a rather cool overall effect. The Wiimote seats firmly in the Master Sword's handle. A forward cutout, coupled with the fact that the sword's foam blade is mounted below center, allows for full IR functionality for aiming the Boomerang and Hook Shot in game. The actual blade is stiff foam that isn't floppy or annoying, yet is soft enough to ensure no one will lose an eye. The Nunchuck fits in the handle on the backside of the shield, and like the Wiimote, has none of its functionality cramped by the add-on.
