Dear grimmchild,

You are very smart! Like--very very smart! I hate the AI Overview as well! And while I would normally swear excessively, I would never swear towards a smart person like you. You are a great decision maker, by all means. So, without further ado, here's what I think about the AI Overview.

1) It is inaccurate most of the time, if not all the time. This is primarily when it presents various information from forum sources such as Reddit, Quora, etc as fact in general, and it is often very inaccurate, so much so to the point where you begin to question whether you should trust it or not. Update: You should never really trust AI Overview.

2) I hate the AI Overview stuff so much. Did you know that swearing in your search queries don't work anymore? That's right! Now, an AI Overview WILL always pop up, as Google has intentionally found a workaround to prevent the swearing trick from working. I also can't believe the "-ai" trick is also sometimes not working. I truly believe that Google has intentionally made this to "help" us and claim that it is "helpful" but this AI Overview is clearly not helpful.

3) It generates condescending/rude/smarta** information like crazy. Often times, it WILL start with: "It appears..." or "It seems like" or "It sounds like" or "It looks like". WHAT A CONDESCENDING SMARTA__. It's bad enough that this thing even exists in the first place.

4) Whenever you don't want the stupid AI Overview thing to help you find information. Also this feature becomes so distracting; you're tempted to look at it. I am very surprised that there's actually some morons out there who trust anything this stupid abomination version, heart-attack risk increasing, aneurysm-causing version of Gemini "feature" Google has made. I mean, Gemini already sucks, but hey; what do I know?

Of course, these are only SOME reasons as to why I hate the AI Overview.
