  • This quiz is inaccurate, there is horrible choices for answers, and not everyone is attractive or high energy. To many others who took this quiz, I got Golden Retriver too.

Some other ideas to find a good dog breed for you could be just looking through lists of dog breeds yourself, instead of using quizzes like these made by people who don't know you. It may seem like a big effort, but it's worth it, it's better than some breed you don't know of.

If you still prefer quizzes, I'd recomend Iams dog breed selector.

Good luck finding a dog for you!

    • I got a breed that would not be happy in the place where I live and I want an energic dog but I got a lazy one. The dog is not the right for me. This was inaccurate.

  • Your Result: Weimaraner 77%

Do you work from home? Are you more inclined to stay in and watch a movie on a Saturday night than to go out until all hours of the morning? Then the Weimaraner is the right breed for you. These dogs are incredibly loving and loyal, so much so that they don't fare well when being left alone for long periods of time. Weimaraners are highly intelligent, so they're easy to train. Their short coat makes them fairly manageable to groom. If you're a homebody, the Weimaraner is the right breed for you.

I am really active an I can run really much at once and after a 5 minute break I can do it agen. I do play videogames(Minecraft once a week) and I am playful, I love jumping over hight things and running. In the area where I live is cold winter and warm summer so I want a dog that can be in the snow without a jacket that is for dogs, I have many swimming places really close to my home (dogs can swim in most of them) and a large yard. I live with my parents and 10yo sister and 5yo brother who is a bit scared of big dogs.

  • Boston Terrier 82%

These pint size pups make the perfect pet for a sensitive single. They are energetic, loving and very loyal. This breed is best with older children and non-canine pets, but males can fight with other dogs, and aren't compatible with curious toddlers. If you're looking for a smaller dog that thrives on human interaction, the Boston Terrier is the right breed for you

  • Friendofdogs- I HOPE that most of us are just taking these for fun! Those that are NOT....PLEASE know more about dogs before you get one!...Sometimes, ironically, you WILL match with a breed that you never thought you would! Don't look at how it "looks", but what TRAITS it has. Example, "Do you need a laid-back, loyal friend, or an upbeat-always willing to go go go friend? -etc, etc" HINT: look at your HUMAN friends! Are some TOTALLY different than you? What traits do you look for? NOW, go back and think about the dogs which exhibit those same traits...They will be the ones that you will love to hang-out with LONG-term! (by the way...NO offense, just don't want to see anyone on some show like "It's me or the Dog", (or worse yet-in the news after their pet has attacked someone due to lack of training!), etc...BUT..."pamper ing, spoiling, and treating any pet like a human baby, ONLY makes for one STUCK UP BRAT of an adult pet...WITH TEETH! (which is why most of us DON'T raise our kids like that-or No one would want to be around them!) Suzmatt- Believe it or not....You have just described most GOLDENS! (AFTER the 2+ yrs of "puppy golden"-but it goes away!) My Golden's good "friends", were an Eng Mastiff, "Newfie", Husky, and a Rottweiler-ALL parts of her personality! :D Ya' never know! ;)

  • I got a boston terrier...I dont like little dogs. Im a teenage girl and MY dog is a huge buff rottweiler with a designer collar and personal doctor and groomer. When she goes to the vet, her doctor makes sure the bulding is clear(my baby is aggressive haha) but shes so sweet to me and little kids!

  • Very nice quiz, however, most of the doggies listed for possible outcomes seem to be of the serveral working classes; it would be nice if maybe next time you worked in a lap dog or something smaller. However, this is a lot better than most quizzes out there and I will say I'm impressed.

  • I got Golden Retriever, because they are athletic and high energy... but not one of my answers suggested that we live a high energy lifestyle. I like Golden Retrievers, and have heard that they tend to be excellent with children, but I would be looking for a more laid back breed. So, overall, not so helpful.

  • This sight is a bit off... I just got a "golden retrvr", and I HATE them. We have an English Mastiff, not a Bull Mastiff, not a French Mastiff,... and would never own a golden. We love our Mastiff, great with kids and really laid back, lazy - perfect. Looking for something similar, or maybe another Mastiff.

  • Okay, no offense but this quiz is terrible! Like for the one about your size/athleticism, there were these answers: thin, thin, thin, and thin!!!! Well, what if you're not. And clearly there arn't that make Breeds from the start, but anyway, just learn your breeds!
