"Oh-" Kori Jane spoke softly, watching Oliver turn to walk off. "Okay, I- I guess we'll meet up with him later," she said as she watched him leave, looking back at Cyril. "What uh, what game would you like to do first?"
-
Cyril looked at Kori, then walked down the patterned hallway. He could finally make out the silhouette of a life-size digital Connect 4. "What about that?" He pointed to the game, grinning from ear to ear. I think it would be fun. He started making his way toward the game, his card in hand ready to swipe for his turn. Once he got to the machine, he swiped his card and watched the money on the card decrease. He watched Kori, and waited for her to do the same on her side.
As Cyril and Kori walked off to play their games, Oliver looked at the game in front of him and smiled. It was an older Mortal Kombat arcade machine, that had been rigged up to where each match gave you about 1,000 tickets. If you were able to make it through the Tower, and beat the final boss on the hardest difficulty, you would be awarded 10,000 tickets. Oliver grinned as he swiped his card, and the amount decreased on it. He started to play and nodded his head as his first opponent was Scorpion. -
Kori Jane smiled and nodded, following after Cyril. She swiped her card and moved to her side, eagerly waiting for the game to start. "I love Connect 4, I used to play it all the time," she said with a smile, taking her first turn.

(I will respond to this later ❤)

"Me too!" Cyril said, reminiscing about the games he used to play with his dad when he was younger. He pressed the button and moved his first piece to the fair left corner. As he did so, the game made a soft plink noise signifying the piece had dropped.
Oliver stood in front of the machine and gritted his teeth together. He was halfway through the tower, but as with most games, each level got harder and harder. Thankfully he was already at 5,000 tickets, so it wasn't a big deal if he lost. He kept thinking about the 10,000 tickets though, and he kept pushing forward. Thankfully, he took this character down with a swift kicking blow and advanced to the 6th level. -
Kori Jane hummed as she placed her piece above Cyril's, already trying to strategize where each piece needed to go.
-
As time progressed, Cyril and Kori each took a turn. In the end, the board was almost full Cyril dropped his piece into the second to last slot that was available. It was then that he realized, Kori would have won either way. He nodded in a sort of proud recognition, and waited for her to drop the final piece. One she did that, she would win 5,000 tickets.
Oliver had finally gotten to the top of the tower, and he let out an exasperated sigh. One more fight and the 10,000 tickets would be his. He pressed the buttons vigoursly and felt beads of sweat develop on his forehead. At this point, he was invested. Before he knew it, the round was over and he had won. He threw his hands up in victory and watched as the tickets came out of the machine. He readied his bag, and waited for the tickets to stop dispensing. -
"Nice, I won!" Kori Jane said with a giggle as she dropped her piece, grabbing her tickets. "Told you I was great at the game~" She added with a giggle, waving her tickets a little
-
Cyril nodded and shook his head. "Hey, you gotta win some to lose some." He flipped the card around in his hand. "What would you like to try next?" He looked around the arcade, specifically at the games that were around him and Kori. It seemed there was a basketball game, where the number of tickets you got, corresponded to the number of baskets you made in a certain amount of time. There was also a bottle ring toss game that looked pretty fun.
Oliver finally got all of his tickets into his bag and grinned. He didn't think he would have been able to do that at all. He walked down the row of old arcade games and shook his head. It didn't look like there where any others that would take his card, or give him tickets. He walked back to the center of the arcade, and spotted to teens playing Guitar Hero. "Now that seems fun." He said, nodding along to the music which happened to be Hells Bells by A/C D/C. -
"Shouldn't we go and see what Oliver's doing? I'd hate to leave him out," Kori Jane replied softly as she looked around for a moment, trying to spot Cyril's friend. She saw him over by a Guitar Hero game station, walking in that direction.
-
Cyril looked at Kori for a moment, then toward the Guitar Hero station where Oliver was patiently waiting for his turn. He took a deep breath, but inside he was a little jealous. "Sure." He said a bit quickly. He made his way over to where Oliver was standing and nudged his friend. "Hey." Cyril said, as the teens were finishing up their turn.
Oliver looked at Cyril for a moment and gave him a brief smile. "Hey." He said, stepping forward to swipe his card. "Either of you want to play this with me. Not gonna lie. I feel like I'm going to suck. Playing instruments isn't my thing." He said with a slight chuckle as he picked up the guitar that was on the left side of the game and started to look through the song selections. Cyril shook his head no as Oliver filtered through the songs. "Sorry Ollie. Songs are not my forte." -
"I love Guitar Hero," Kori Jane said with a grin as she rushed over to the game, moving beside Oliver and picking up the other guitar. "I used to play it all the time with my dad, I always won against him- he never said so to my face, but he'd always let me win~"
-
Oliver smiled and gave Kori a slight grin. "Well, at least that makes one of us that knows what they are doing." He scrolled through the songs that were on the list. "Which one would you like to play?" He asked Kori, curious as to what she would pick.
-
"Ooh, a Nirvana song~" Kori said with a grin, scrolling through the songs and pausing on one. "One of my favorite bands- and yes, I know more than three songs by them," she added with a smirk, giggling softly.
-
Oliver nodded and kept scrolling till he saw a song that he also liked. He selected the song title Come As You Are by Nirvana and got his guitar ready. He looked at Kori and shook his head. The music notes started to flow down both screens, and Oliver started to hit the corresponding keys.
Cyril stood behind both of them, his phone buzzing in his pocket. It must be a text message, or a phone call. If it wasn't from Oliver or Kori, there was only one other person it could be and that was his dad. He took a deep breath and decided to ignore it.
