Mahina’s smile widened slightly. ‘Why not?’
‘Why?!’ -
"Because I don't want to, duh." Ernest chuckled, ruffling her hair again.

Hendrick’s face looked strained. ‘I literally can’t.’
‘Why?’ Mahina mumbled. -
Ernie kissed the top of Mahina's head, starting to pay more attention to Hendrik and the wand. "I think we're safe." He whispered to Mahina.

Selene leaned heavily against the table. Mahina glanced at her.
‘S-Selene?’ -
Ernest followed Mahina's gaze. "You all right?" He asked.

Selene’s haze was intent on Hendrik - or rather, his hand.
‘I’m fine, Nina.’
Mahina gasped. ‘Selene!’ -
Ernie let go of Mahina since Hendrik casting a spell on either of them wasn't an issue. He gave Selene a small smile and mouthed the words: "Thank you!"

Mahina rushed to Selene’s side. ‘B-But, you told me-‘
‘Never use your magic without a wand,’ Selene murmured, eyes fixed on Hendrick. ‘But sometimes, Nina, there are exceptions.’ -
Ernest turned to Hendrik with a small smirk, walking off next to Mahina.
(Gonna go for the night, it's laaaaate lol) -
(Lol, fair enough. Cya!)
Hendrick remained fixed in place. Callisto rushed to his side.
Mahina put Selene’s arm around her shoulders. ‘Do you want me to get your wand for you?’ -
Selene nodded after a moment or two, eyes not moving away from Hendrick's hand even once.

Mahina beckoned Ernest closer in case Selene wanted to lean on him, then dashed off into her room.

Ernie nodded, walking closer. He tried to hide how happy he was about finally being able to move on his own again.

‘Selene, let him go!’ Callisto demanded, reaching for her own wand.
Selene didn’t respond, her breath turning ragged.
