Chester’s father hugged his son back, kissing the top of his head.

Jayden watched the two of them, smiling.

Chester eventually pulled away. ‘Love you.’

"Love you too." His father ruffled his hair again.

Chester chuckled softly. He leaned into his touch.

"You should get going now." His father said quietly, with a sad smile.

‘Yeah, I know,’ Chester mumbled. He stood up.

Jayden stood up as well.

‘Love you,’ Chester said again to his father.

His father nodded. "I love you too."

Chester gave a weak smile. He grabbed Jayden’s hand.

Jayden smiled back to try and comfort him, starting to walk away.

Chester followed, looking down.
