His father laughed softly. ‘I’m fine.’

"That's good... I think." Jayden decided that he meant the good kind of fine, not the bad kind.

‘Yes, it’s good,’ his father chuckled.

"Alright." Jayden chuckled.

Chester pat Jayden’s head.
‘Is there anything else you need to talk about before I leave?’ -
Jayden looked at Chester, shrugging. He couldn't think of anything.

‘Well, I haven’t gone cuckoo from talking to you, so.. do you think I should let Maeve?’

Chesters' dad paused. "If you think she's ready..."

Chester nestled closer. ‘I mean, I’ve talked to you a lot, and I’m not crazy yet… What harm could 2 or 3 visits do?’

His dad nodded. He wasn't about to say no to seeing his daughter.

‘I’ll bring her after her lessons.’

"Sounds good."

Chester hugged him.

Jayden watched the two.
