Jayden looked at Cleverly. "It's just Chester." He chuckled.

‘Um, why is the King a red panda?’ Cleverly asked.

"Because we got in a debate, so he refuses to change back into a human until I admit I'm wrong." Jayden shrugged. "Which is never going to happen because I'm not wrong." He gave Chester a very pointed look at the last sentence.

Chester looked up at him with a grumpy look, bapping his arm. Cleverly nodded slowly. ‘Right.’

"What, it's true!" Jayden whispered before looking back up at Cleverly. "Yeah. Normal stuff."

‘Totally,’ Cleverly said, bewildered. Chester attempted to jump out of JaydenMs lap and onto the table.

Jayd blocked him before he could. "Nope! What're you doing, I told you not to move!"

Chester huff-quacked at him, reluctantly doing as he was told.

Jayden smiled, patting his head. "Thank you."

Chester leaned into his touch. Maeve shook her head. ‘You two are crazy.’

"Yup." Jayd kept petting Chester.

Chester nuzzled against his hand.

Jayden let him, grinning.

Chester snuggled into him.

Jayd let him. The food came eventually, and he offered a roll to Chester.
