"Thank you," Harper said, then was silent.

The floor came to a halt, before flying down. Crypta held onto the handlebars. "We're almost there!"

Harper held onto the handle bars as they sped down the steep incline, wondering where they were going.

It slowed down rapidly and stopped in front of a door, which opened to reveal a secret base of some sort. Crypta's robo dog came up to her, wagging its tail.

Harper wondered how the dog got there, considering how fast they were going, but he didn't ask. This really was impressive.

Crypta patted the dog's head and stepped inside. "Come on in! Just be careful, most of these are my more dangerous and advanced experiments."

Harper got out and followed Crypta. How did they not know about this? A secret hide out with a bunch of complex experiments is not a small thing.

Crypta tapped a huge glass container filled with greenish fluid. A vividly blue creature swam to the front, blowing bubbles at her. "That's Oakley," she said. "He's my pal!"

"Why's he down here?" Harper asked.

"Because unfortunately, this tank wouldn't fit in my house," Crypta said. "So he has to go down here. He has the DNA of almost every underwater species, and he can manipulate it. Isn't that cool?"

Harper nodded. He definitiely wouldn't want to get in a fight with that thing, he most likely wouldn't survive.

"I've been experimenting on how he does it," Crypta added. "I almost have it. That's why I'm here, so they-"

She abruptly cut off, having said too much. "Never mind."

Harper suspected that this "they" were people that were after her experiments, or something like that. "I don't know how you do it," Harper said, a bit of awe in his voice.

Crypta blushed. "It's not as impressive as you make it sound. All you have to do is do it once. Then you'll never forget it."
