Thread Topic: Kingdom's Thieves
In a kingdom of magic, there is a group of thieves that are skilled magic users and also trained assassins. They are well known thieves and wanted criminals. One day the king asks to see the group of thieves. The king says that he is requesting that they go on a quest. A quest to defeat the 8 dragons of the kingdom. Each dragon has special abilities, and incredible strength. As a reward they would have access to part of the king's gold. The thieves set out on their quest. Facing dangers and puzzles at every turn. Will they succeed?
In this you will be a thief. We start a day before the king asks for us.
Magic: (Elemental, cleric, spells, etc.)
Name: Richard Newts
Weapon: Lods of mone, charisma
Looks: Richard tries to keep himself looking good and presentable at all moments of the day. His blond hair is always perfectly combed and his clothes always without blemish. One would hardly expect someone like him to keep such bad company.
Personality: Calm under pressure, cowardly, greedy, honest and charming.
Other: Luck, in this instance, refers to Richard's incredible tendency to always have things turn out for the best, regardless of how bad things look.
Name: Jocelynn Taylor (thieves call her Lynn)
Magic: Cleric (Healer)
Looks: Chocolate brown hair with natural golden highlights in messy curls, odd golden brown eyes, brown combat boots, tan leggings, black top with one long sleeve other side sleeveless, dark grey hooded cloak
Personality: You'll see
Other: One of the youngest thieves, but one of the best clerics
Oh my gosh, AMAZING!! I'm SO joining this!)
Name: Russel Evermorr (Nickname: Russ)
Magic: Elemental (water/ice/wind)
Looks: Mop-top blonde with reddish accents, freckles, pale skin, crystal-blue eyes. His armored clothing is sewn together with metal scraps and firm leaves (Russel constructed the outfit himself).
Personality: You'll see
Other: Very shy but strong and protective. Kind and caring some times, shunning and eluding other times. Usually unpredictable.
(Thanks! Do you guys wanna start?)
*Magic: Cleric (Healer, support magic), elemental (air)
*Other: One of the youngest thieves, but one of the best clerics, only uses air magic if its really necessary
(Forgot to add that)
Jocelynn was crouched on a roof. Most people didn't bother to look up, so it was a perfect place to hide. Jocelynn looked at the sky. It was almost sunset. She needed to hurry up. She hopped onto a pole and onto the tent covering a produce stand. The surface was fairly firm, so she kept her balance. Jocelynn pulled her spear off of her back. Her spear's blade was red with six side blades as well as the traditional point on the end. Her spear also had a steel rod instead of a wooden one, which she had gotten used to. Jocelynn lowered her head to see the closest food barrel. She speared some of the produce and raised herself back onto the top of the tent. Jocelynn hopped back onto a roof and jumped across roofs, on her way to the hideout of the thieves.
(Sorry about the length)
I'm on!! Sorry)
Russel kicked off his shiny boots and entered his private studies; a hidden chamber under the village pub. The pub shopkeeper, a kind soul named Maria, knew of her friend's hideaway and promised to keep the secret safe. This was because Russ was very wanted in the kingdom and needed somewhere to stay. Maria had welcomed him in with open arms.
Russ sat at a wooden table and picked up his map, where he was charting certain areas of the castle to raid. His timing must be perfect to pull off the largest thieving of the century.
He grabbed the map, some bread and broth, and started off to get Jocelynn and Richard.
(Sorry it was so long!)
"I proclaim, release the knowledge of what band is performing, my friend." Richard said, leaning back in his seat.
'The Pinstripe' wasn't one of the most popular restaurants; location and customers made sure of that, but if one wanted to enjoy the finer things in life without drawing attention to himself, there was no better place. The music was slow, the food was above average and the people...less than educated.
"I ask only because I have fears I shall have to leave our conversation prematurely, and consider them to have merit in the field of music."
"So you shall be off then?"
"With the raven. Consider the tab paid."
And with nothing more to be said, Richard stood up and headed towards the exit. Russ was on his mind centrally, and with a brief moment of contemplation, Richard decided to seek him out.
Jocelynn hopped off the roof. Her face was mostly hidden under her hood. She walked into a tavern, and sat down at the bar. A man passed a small portion of meat to me. "Your getting skinny, Lynn," He said.
Jocelynn glared at him, "Of course I am. I've only eaten produce for the last week's time." She paused to eat a piece of meat. "I know how to take care of myself now, Joshua."
Joshua frowned. "I know, sister. But in a terrible way. Your a thief, Lynn, a thief."
"Don't yell that out! I'm wanted!" Jocelynn hissed. "So what if I am. You still let me in here."
Joshua sighed, "because your my sister. When you finish that you better get going. People will start to realize who you are."
Jocelynn nodded and finished the food. "Goodbye, brother." Jocelynn walked outside while keeping her head down. She had no real destination. She was just going to find where Russ and Richard were.
*her (not me)
Russ spotted Jocelyn walking out of the bar and rushed up to greet her. He held up the map. "I know this plan can work. Are you in?"
Jocelynn sighed. "Last time you made a plan, we almost got caught." She said. Then she smiled, "so I'm in. where's Richard?" Lynn noticed people looking and whispering about them while walking past them. She frowned. "We better move somewhere more private," I said, nodding pointedly at the people passing them.
