What are you getting surgery on?

Damn. D: I'm sure the doctors are competent enough to not f--- up, you'll be fine, Emma. I know it's scary but being scared's not going to help, is it? D:

I'm sure it'll go fine. At least it's not something major like open heart surgery. And people have survived that.

I can imagine it now.
Emma walks up to her friends; she's in crutches with her leg all wrapped up. She looks at them through slit eyes and in a scruffy voice says,
"Yeah, lost this one in Nam. Me and my platoon were trapped in our trenches behind enemy lines for nearly 2 years. No reinforcements could reach us so we were on our own. We ran out of food so we had to eat our shovels. We needed more trench space, so when we ate our shovels we had to dig new trenches with bullet casings. When we ran out of ammo, we just started firing all that extra dirt instead.
We had a man lose his arm to a rogue cook. Cut it off with an undercooked shovel. Medium rare. We called him Stumpy from then on out.
We had a another man lose his foot when all the bullet shells holding up our trenches collapsed in on it. We called him limpy from then on out.
We had a third man lose both of his legs, his left arm, and part of his eye. We couldn't think of a good name, so we still called him larry.
Yes, we fought long and hard in that great battle. The other Vets all retired to Tahiti or Delaware. I don't know why anyone would retire to Delaware, but some did. I myself decided to stick around here. Finish up my associates degree and become a famous kazoo player...

why is everyone having surgruy?! You'll be ok Emma, and I'm sure you'll be able to get caught up in school, that is always the tough part though after something like that :P
