Of course you don't. If you did, you wouldn't leave so soon. Or at least give us somewhere to contact you. I wouldn't be that cruel. But, why am I not surprised. Maybe because you've been shutting out our opinions on the thought of you leaving, and have been continuously talking about it. Which really hurts.
No offense, but... I feel really hurt and betrayed by this. Maybe I should start avoiding/ignoring Cats17 to avoid hurting both her and I.
I'm lacking context, but I would like to butt in and point out that Cat's message is full of guilt tripping. They are trying to make you feel bad (guilty) for a decision you're trying to make. Don't let them have that power over you.
The choice to leave is ultimately up to you. I have come and gone from the site a few times. It can be liberating to leave it behind.
However, I will say, if you value the friendships here, it may be worth it to stick around. As long as you communicate with your friends and work together to have a healthy friendship, it's worth it.
I personally regret cutting my friends off out of a fear that they'd turn on me or hurt me. It's much better to stick it out rather than leaving them behind and listening to your internal paranoia.
Sometimes, those feelings are valid. This site especially seems to harbor both good-willed and ill-willed people. The only thing you can do is reach out to your friends and talk to them about it.
The ones who care will be patient and understanding; they'll be willing to talk about the friendship and come up with ways you guys can mutually benefit each other. Those are the people worth your trust.
