  @ana, i don't think the heart beats until the later stages, i'm for abortion before the third trimester

  I agree with Bob on this one. Also anyone opposed to abortion should read the work of bioethicist and philosopher Peter Singer, just to get a different understanding of the debate.

  Hmm, well since I'm in Peter Singer utilitarian mode, I wonder where he stands on the issue of the death penalty. Most likely in favor. I personally favor it in certain instances, but I generally think it's used too much. It should be used only against mass murderers and terrorists.
