He murmured something in his sleep.

I ignored him.

He continued to sleep.

I kept driving, until I heard sirens in the distance. "Yo Tyler wake up." I said.

"Huh?" He sat up in his seat. "What is it?"

"Cops, behind us." I said as the sirens got closer.

"Ugh." First vampire guards, now police? He sighed. "Well..."

"That's what happens when you're on the run." I said. "And besides, they're human. We could take them out if we needed to."

"I realize that." He glanced back at the police car.

"Well, you Slayers are kind of against killing humans so..." I trailed off.

"Yeah, but if it comes to them finding out about vampires, or us..." He shrugged.

"Mmm" Was all I said before going faster.

He frowned slightly.

The cops were getting closer. "f---." I muttered.

He glanced back at them again.
