Thread Topic: So...

I saw the girl get out of the car and start walking down the street. Even your own daughter despises you, I thought bitterly. I crossed my arms and leaned against the steps. I grinned smugly, narrowing my eyes at the man. "You won't get your way. Things don't come that easily," I muttered a bit louder than I meant to.
-
My dad's car pulled away. I didn't actually think he would leave. I needed to call my mother, because it would be dark soon. I walked back to the boy and said,"Er, well, uh, I know you must hate my guts right now for something had absolutely no control over, But could I maybe use your phone? It's going to be dark soon, and I live in the Tropical District. Wait, nevermind, this was a stupid idea."
-
"No, no," I said, shaking my head. I don't hate you. "You can use our phone. Come on," I led her inside to the kitchen where the phone was located. "It's kind of... old... but it still does the job."
-
I stared at the phone for a minute, trying how remember how to operate it. I finally got it, feeling a little awkward. I had a short conversation with my mother. When I finished, I said to the boy,"Thank-you,....."
-
"Aaron... My name's Aaron," I replied, smiling.
-
"Well, thank-you, Aaron. I should probably get out of here before...." I heard someone hurriedly coming down the stairs.
"Aaron, whose down there?!"
"Exactly what I mean."
I rushed towards the door. But he caught me. "Your his daughter aren't you?" -
"Dad, stay out of it. Her dad left her here. She needed to use the phone. It's nothing," I explained. My dad loosened his grip on her, stepping back.
"Never step foot in my house ever again," he said sternly. I gave him a look of disapproval, but he ignored it, heading back up to his study muttering angry words to himself.
I stood by the door next to Phoebe. "Well... That went... well..." I said awkwardly. -
"I know, he absolutely loves me."I said sarcastically.
-
"He's just... worked up about everything," I said, smiling sadly. "It's tough, this whole transition."
-
D: I have to go. I'll be on tomorrow. We'll continue then, yes? Bye!
-
"I understand. Nope, not true. I can't really understand because I've never been through it. But I get the outline."
-
(god, my character is undecisive)
-
(xD Indeed.)
"I wouldn't expect you to. Things are... different here. I mean, my life. It's different... than... yours..." I glanced down at the floor. Damn. That came out wrong. -
"How? Besides the obvious fact that you live in the oldest house in the city."
-
"It's... just... Never mind. Forget I said anything." I glanced out the window by the door, seeing a car pulled over on the side of the street. "I think your ride's here."
