okay what happened to charlie kirk was terrible but its so ignorant to treat his death like something so out of the ordinary
children are dying in schools and in churches and the same people that are posting "no one deserves to die" and "regardless of political stance...." s--- say absolutely nothing -
there are CHILDREN who are quite literally the future of America and theyre getting shot at because people prioritize their guns over actual lives

we live in such a polarized nation with people at each others' necks, wishing death upon each other, and to make matters worse—we make it easy for just about anybody to purchase and carry a gun

and trumps whole "this is terrible yada yada yada" thing regarding charlie's death is crazy because his administration's policies likely inadvertently CAUSED charlie's death

this administration is literally giving people, democratic and republican, the means to kill

literally just yesterday my friends school had a lockdown because of a school shooting. as far as i know nobody was hurt (pretty sure the news and my friend would've told me otherwise) but it's still so baffling how common this is
i also think it's depressingly ironic how it's the republican politicians, the ones who are pro guns, are the ones having assassination attempts towards them currently, like the call is coming from inside the house -
it's so stupid like obviously his death is tragic and obviously it never should have happened, but that's the case for all shootings and yet here in the good ol US of A no one seems to do anything about it

and i remember charlie kirk saying something about how some people just had to die in order for the 2nd amendment to be protected. and obviously he never thought it would be him.
