Must be. In some states they let 14 year olds work.

    I’m scared.

    Yep!

I had one a few weeks ago with another place, but they ended up not wanting me.

The owner or this place wasn't sure if he wanted to stretch it down to 14. He knew he'd stretched it to 15, but he wasn't sure if he'd be willing to do 14.
    Looks like he's willing.

People usually don't like hiring 14 or 15 year olds because of the labor laws. They can't use knives or machinery, and if they work even a minute over what they're supposed to they could get fined. There may be some other reasons too, but those are the ones that I know of.
