Mexico makes me think of Spanish class, watching all sorts of travel videos in Spanish and learning about Mexico. It makes me think of wanting to travel and see the world and be free, but it also makes me think of being trapped. At one point, I learned how heavily condensed Mexico City is, and that the air there is completely polluted due to so many people being there. It makes me think of friends who go there regularly, and people who I wouldn't know if they hadn't come from their in their childhood.
Tacos make me think of this place across the street from my dad's old apartment. I'm not a huge fan of tacos, spare fish tacos. Even then, theirs weren't very good, but every time I was at his house, we'd walk over and buy some. Most of the time, they wouldn't even make it to the counter. As soon as we opened up the taco bag in the kitchen, they were gone. I liked that apartment a lot, my bedroom was great. It had a huge mirror all along the closet, which was the type that's really long and has two doors. I used to stay up until two or three in the morning in that room, listening to weird music and talking to friends until my phone died. There was a motorcycle that would go by at about 2:45 AM, or so. I kind of miss how that time felt. I wasn't okay, but at the same time... I really was. I was so much better than I am now.
