It used to happen to me a lot when I'm younger or something similar .
Is it when you breathe there's a pain in that area and it hurts to breathe?
I'm not sure what it is but you should probaly see a professional. -
Yes. And/ or when I lean over or lay down on my side, it hurts too.

Hmm I sometimes get the pains but not as much , is it been going on for a while or is it possible it could be to do with weight or a sickness?
Maybe you could try to find help online not as helpful as a profesioanl but you could find something to convince your mum. -
That's pretty high. You didn't hurt/bruise a rib anytime recently, right?
I guess if you can get some painkiller like advil or ibuprofen it might help.
