It's probably because he has a sense of humor that can be offensive sometimes, like insulting appearances or making jokes about topics like abuse or something, but he always clearly states how he's kidding and he's huge for animal rights, and equality. His sense of humor isn't for everyone, but I personally think he's hilarious.
