Thread Topic: I'm freaking out.
-
My foster family and I were planning on leaving to go to the mountains Friday. Now they want to leave tonight.
That's a 6 hour drive. I'm suppost to have a soccer game tomorrow, my first game for this new school. And I can't ride in a car at night. What if you don't see a car coming in the dark? And most 18 wheelers travel at night, and those are my biggest fear. What if we're driving beside one and it moves and crushes us? And what if I have a panic attack and I don't have my meds?
I'm in tears for these dumb reasons. -
Rock and a hard place.

Gives smootie * shhh clam down
-
Oh wow. I'd be scared if I were you too.
It'll be okay. Ignore the scary thoughts.
*cuddles* -
Mhmm.
I can't. I just can't.
I can't ignore them. -
I've never been to the mountains, so I don't know what to expect. All I know is that you'll live. I promise. You'll be fine.
If you don't want to go, tell them. -
You have to drive upwards on the side of a mountain beside big trucks.
I can't back out now. -
That sounds scary.
You're an adult. You should be able to back out if you want. -
It is.
I cant. I'm suppost to take all eight of them to a theme park up there and they would be devestated. -
Tell them you have a game?
-
Tell them how you really feel.
-
I didddd. They either want to leave tonight or tomorrow morning and I can't.
-
The cars here are very different from what you drove in the UK right? The steering wheel was on the right side, not the left.
-
Mhm.
-
I would just tell them you can't go until after the game. And that if they still want to leave, they can, but you have a responsibility to your team. Make up for the theme park by taking the kids to a movie and out to eat or something.
