The impasta was my attempt to change and be less boring and maybe progress myself a bit but that didn't work out

Of course, but you shouldn't feel ashamed. You should see how many times I fail at keeping commitments I make to myself, and it's not like you dishonored the world by changing your profile picture back to your lovely rose.

I've had this rose since I was a junior. At least 2012. I changed it so often when I was new. I must have had at least ten different pictures just between newbie and novice.

Maybe to help you with change try to change it to something familiar... as in, make your profile picture a black rose, but a different picture of a black rose. Just try it little by little.
