Not an idiot. Just... sadly ignorant to this glorious show that you shouldn't watch if you don't want your soul being torn into a million pieces but otherwise definitely should because it's beautiful.

Then you should watch it. This should be a good start.
Just know that it's much easier to become emotionally attached to fictional characters than people will give you credit for. Don't let them see you cry over the death of a beloved character. They don't know. They won't understand. -
I don't get attached to things anymore so no [candycane. Problem.
