How come some people feel the need to share with everyone when someone or something they know dies?
"Today my ________ died at the age of ______ and they were so ________ and _______. RIP I love you "
Often I see people doing things like this and I just don't understand why some people feel the need to publicize it. It's a personal thing and it's posted on a social networking site. Is it for attention? Does it help get over the loss?
This isn't directed to anyone here I'm just asking. -
I never do that. I don't know why tho.

I'm not sure. I never publicized it but if people asked why I'm so down on that day I tell them.

Maybe their relitives are on that site or friends? Or whatever? Just...because....yolo. XD

Telling someone what's wrong is different from announcing "YO SOMEONE DIED FEEL BAD FOR ME EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A CAT" or something.

@Mark But the thing is the relatives would already know.
Say your uncle died. Would you want all your friends on a social networking site to be asking about it? Usually with death it's more of a personal thing (family of the person) and it just seems disrespectful to tell everyone you know. -

It's for comfort. They say it to someone who can't see their face when they cry because they don't want people in real life to see them cry (like their friends), so they go on here where people won't care if you cry or not.

Damask has no value for life and sees other people as below them. She wouldn't understand a concept like shame or modesty.

When my grandmother passed, I was completely lost and a teary mess. I came here for comfort because, to put it simply, my RL friends didn't understand what mourning I was in. We were close.
