If you really have cut yourself, and you really can't get it to stop bleeding, you will die if you don't call an ambulance.

I didn't think it would keep bleeding long if you cut as deep as you say, unless you hit a blood vessel, so long as you made one straight cut, the skin will tend to flap back together.
Turn on a light and look at it. Tell me if it's still bleeding, and if so, how fast. -

Oh, and avoid standing up or putting weight on that leg as much as possible. (still apply presure if it's bleeding though)
