"Son.." Derricks father said. "I need to tell you something." Derrick looked up and met his fathers eyes. "I really don't want you to get to attacthed to Evelyn... It just wouldn't be good.." his father said. Derrick only nodded and looked down.
"Um.. Ok." he said, looking away. -
Evelyn didn't hear, she was busy talking with her dad. "I really don't want to go to your class tomorrow... Can I stay with Derrick and his dad instead?"
Her father shrugged. "If they're okay with it." -
"What haopens if I do?" Derrick asked.
"I dunno yet.. But you'll find out." his dad said.
Derrick inhaled deeply, and looked Down. He never liked the outcome when his father said: "You'll see." -
The two then, in an almost synchronized manner, looked at the other two at the table.

He swallowed uncomfortably. He also sat up straighter and continued biting his lip.

"You okay?" she asked, looking at him.

Derrick nodded. "Y-yeah.. I'm fine." he stuttered.

She didn't seem to believe it, but nodded. "Good."

He noticed that she seemed a little skeptical of his answer, but ignored it.

"You don't have school or anything tomorrow, do you?" she asked.

"No." he answered. "Why?"

"Because I'd have to go with my dad to whatever university he'll be spending the day at tomorrow if you did." She frowned.

"Oh." Derrick said. "Well I'm glad there's no school." he smiled.

She smiled as well. "I'm glad Dad and I came to visit you guys."

"Me to." he said, giving her Hand a soft squeeze.
