I closed my eyes and sighed. It should take me a while to fall asleep. It always does. I heard a faint noise from the hallway, but I ignored it. The floors always creaked in this damn house.

I opened my eyes. s---. The one time that I think it's nothing... I nodded slightly. It was best to just do what I was told, even though it wasn't like me to do what people tell me to do. But this was different.

Lucian kept the gun pointed at her head the whole time and eventually when they arrived down,he pushed the girl down and fired the gun slightly above her head.This was gonna get him out. -

I flinched, hearing the bullet fly past me, barely missing my head. I saw my parents' bedroom door open, and my dad walking out.
"Rachel? Are you okay?" my dad asked, rushing over. -

He fired the bullet right through his head.Drama wasn't what he's been planning for,he just wanted revenge. -

My dad had been standing close enough to me that his blood splattered on me. I was too shocked to cry, to scared to scream. So I just sat there, staring at what was left of my dad's head as his corpse fell to the ground.

Lucian walked into the bedroom,but no one else was there.Oh god,she can't have escaped!
"Where's your mom girl?"
He aimed for her head,it was too dark to see her face. -

I shrugged. "I don't know. She went to bed at the same time my dad did. I didn't see her leave the room." I watched the guy with the gun. The only thing worse than looking at him would be not looking at him. -

Lucian stepped forward to take one last look at the girl before killing her,but he froze as soon as he saw her face. -

I closed my eyes, thinking he was going to shoot me. I kept my eyes closed for a while, but when he didn't shoot me, I opened them again.
