"yeah, that was what growing up here was like," I sigh, remembering those days.

"At least I had the palace guards and maids... the prince wasn't born until I was seven, so he really wasn't much of a playmate."

"Yeah, I guess so." I smiled.

I smiled back, unsure of what to say.

"At least you had a somewhat normal childhood."

"well, yeah." I say with a shrug. Looking you in the eyes.

My smile faded slightly, and I held eye contact with him for a second, but looked away quickly.

"Princess, we will win this war. I promise you,"

"Thank you, Alex. I really hope so." I glanced out the window.

"I know so," I say, but I'll need to pitch my plans to General Turner.
