Do you people like songs because of the music (beat, how it sounds) or the lyrics?
I've always thought that I liked songs because of how they sound, but then I get confused because maybe I wouldn't like a song if it had different lyrics. But unfortunately I'll never be able to re listen to a song for the first time with different lyrics because I already know the original lyrics.
I don't know if I made much sense in the previous block of text, but hopefully the question makes sense. -
Hmmmm that's kind of hard for me to decide. I honestly like both.

I agree with Ericat. I generally like songs because of the lyrics, but there's this one song called Hard Love (by NeedToBreathe) and I like the lyrics and will find myself singing to them, but I hate it because of the beat, tune, and voices.

beat and music. lyrics matter the least to me. if they're good, that's just a plus.

It's always easy for me to find decent sounding songs. Finding meaningful, worthwhile lyrics is harder.
