Huzzah I need them being awesome parents trying their best it’s so cute
-
Chester loves Jayden’s surname because it’s so whimsical so he really wants to take it but Jayden doesn’t like it because it reminds him of his s---ty family so they merge surnames and make it Jackson-Celeste
-
Ok so we’ve got all of the Jacksons here (except jayden because idk his middle names (Legolas I promise I’ll let you come up with other stuffs about Delphi I’m just so creatively fueled rn))
- Aurelius Emmanuel Finnegan Jackson (father to Chester)
- Seraphina Christabel Jackson (mother to Chester)
- Chester Aurelius** Christopher Jackson-Celeste
- Maeve Eleanor Josephine Jackson (sister to Chester)
- Delphi Maeve Valentina Jackson-Celeste* (Jester’s first child)
- Felipe Aurelius** Jackson-Celeste (Jester’s second child**)
- Anastasia Seraphina Jackson-Celeste (Jester’s third child**)
*they might have changed their middle name to something else when they came out, but that’s what it says on their birth certificate, which Jayden and Chester made when she became adopted (they only chose Delphi’s middle and last names, since Delphi had already been given a first name by their parents)
**Both Felipe and Anastasia had no names when they were adopted, as they were both very young and abandoned, so didn’t answer to anything, unlike Delphi
Let me know if this is all okay, I just need to keep track of it. We should really make a book or thread for this man -
I just imagined this and I’m giggling it sounded so much funnier in my head
Delphi: do you ever wish we were, y’know, normal? Like, not royal?
Felipe: no not at all
Delphi, who couldn’t believe they were about to confide in their 10yo brother: haha me neither
Felipe: We’re like the most spoilt kids
Delphi, who’s heard that a million times from their tutor, getting flashbacks: haha yeah
Anastasia: No we’re not!
Felipe: Yes we are
Anastasia: No! Look!
Anastasia: DAAAADDYYYYY
Chester: yes my darling angel
Anastasia, expecting him to say no: can I have a crown like you and papa’s for my teddy
Chester: sure darling
Anastasia:
Felipe: ha told you -
That’s awesome I love both of those
-
I feel like Jaydens middle name would be Fitz
-
Jayden Fitz Celeste has a nice ring to it imo
-
And maybe Delphi would just change their middle names to Maeve Valentino since they love their aunt and honestly really like the name Valentina
-
Omg I love that perfect
Ooooh yes I imagine Delphi and Maeve are super close, that’s awesome oki -
Felipe is a quarter Italian, a quarter Spanish, and half Northern (I haven't decided the ethnicity and stuffs names yet hmmm). He has a small Spanish-Italian accent, but its not super prominent

The North Kingdom
It's inspired by European culture, and is currently in an art period similar to the renaissance. Architecture is very similar to Italian renaissance and Czech castles. Fashion is inspired by Victorian England, and socially a mix of the English Regal and Victorian Eras. It's pretty much a mix of Slavic and English, and is mostly occupied by Elvebredd, humans with magical abilities.
Many many MANY years ago, the world was full of humans, and the North Americas (the continent these kingdoms are on and is called) had not yet been discovered. A flower was native to the area the North Kingdom was on, and when ingested by humans, the humans obtain magical abilities, can be pretty much anything. Four sailors of different ethnicities and interests landed on North Americas (in the 1500s) and one found the flower and ingested it, as food was low. The four had conflict and went their separate ways, and pretty soon colonised the North Americas. The four kingdoms were very closed off from each other, hence their vastly different cultures. Everyone in the North Kingdom ingested that special flower, as it was thought to provide nutrients and good health, and pretty soon everyone there was magical. The flowers weren't traded around the continent. Only one could be consumed within one person's lifetime - two for royals. Soon, the flowers went extinct, and these magical traits were so embedded in their DNA that it simply passed down to each generation. Since royals ingested two flowers, the royals got two powers.
The North Kingdom is known for its huge art culture and architecture. There are huge castles, paintings, etc, and a widespread appreciation for the arts. It's very closed off and very neutral, it hasn't had conflict for decades and doesn't have any close allies nor enemies
Elvebredd
People with magical abilities. It dates back to when a flower was discovered by one of the sailors, the founder of the North Kingdom, who was hungry and low on food. It gave him magical powers. Once the kingdom was established and colonising was successful, everyone in the North Kingdom ingested that special flower, as it was thought to provide nutrients and good health, and pretty soon everyone there was magical. The flowers weren't traded around the continent. Only one could be consumed within one person's lifetime - two for royals. Soon, the flowers went extinct, and these magical traits were so embedded in their DNA that it simply passed down to each generation. Since royals ingested two flowers, the royals got two powers.
When non-Elvebredds (aka normal humans) breed with Elvebredds, the child inherits half the capability of what their power could be. For example, if they have the ability of flight, they can fly, but not for long and not very high. Or if they can teleport, they can't teleport long distances, and it drains them. However, this is deeply frowned upon, as the child wouldn't be human nor an Elvebredd, and so wouldn't really "belong" anywhere. -
The group of sailors who discovered the North Americas are called the Peregrine Sailors

Many fantasy creatures also exist in this world and do occur naturally. They are not, however, native to the North Americas, and instead to parts of Asia, Australia, western and Central Europe, and Southern Africa. Almost every “mythical” creature in any culture has existed at some point of time somewhere. Now, creatures common in Asian mythology reside in those Asian countries, only sometimes venturing out into other parts of the world. Many creatures in Indigenous Australian myths reside in Australia, and have been very isolated from the rest of the world for years, allowing a diverse culture mixed with indigenous and European backgrounds. A number of common mythical creatures from the west reside in parts of Europe and the North Americas (eg vampires, mermaids, faeries, gorgons, elves, etc, as well as creatures from Slavic mythologies). The common types mainly reside in the North Kingdom, as it’s known to be one of the most openly magic places on earth, besides Japan, Australia, Greece, and some Slavic countries, and is the most tolerant of other species.
I also think that one of the kingdoms should reflect Indigenous American cultures. I’ve always imagined Australia to be a diverse, modern mix of London European cultures and Indigenous. I want to keep the bad things in the history but also make it very half-half when it comes to culture instead of just being influenced socially by the west. I don’t know much at all about Indigenous Americans but I’m pretty sure it’s similar to what happened in Australia, the Big Bad Europeans came over and killed a lot of Indigenous people and for a while the culture was forgotten. We could make it so the people native to the North Americas were only in one half, since America is big, but idk if that would be erasing anything
