My laptop has been screwy for a while now (at least I have everything backed up), and the night before yesterday I encountered the "Blue Screen of Death". I was terrified, but I turned it off and it came on pretty much as normal. I've found nothing lost. I was on edge for a while after though.
Has your computer ever scared you like this? -
My dads did once. I was on the internet, and it kept shutting everything that I opened down. We hadn't backed it up in a while, so I was scared that it would loose all my Data.

I hate that feeling. I had only recently backed up my music, though I have my art and writings backed up for a while now (Top priority).
So when this happened I was only worried that my computer had finally committed suicide. -

My computer refused to turn on, and it was plugged in and everything. I don't have any of my crap back up. Then I noticed the plug itself was off...

Yep. Mine would turn on, but it only showed the wallpaper and no cursor or icons (or anything, really). Or it would say "shutting down" but never actually shut down, until a whole day passed and I had to just let it die and reboot it.

Something similar to Appa's happened to mine. It would sit there, on the screen I had been viewing and say the time it was when it froze for 2 days. When it died and I rebooted it, nothing was on there and it scared the heck out of me. Then it showed up the next day.

Yep,like..my laptop freaks out like crazy,sometimes it freezes and I have to shut it down for a few hours or take out the battery.
