An ending at Hogwarts part 11

All characters (except Annalise, Kyle and Lewis), spells, objects, and anything else pertaining to the Harry Potter books/movies are all J.K. Rowlings ideas. I just added my own character in my version.

This edition is going to be more focused on Draco, yet again, but this is during the Slug Club Christmas party. RECAP: You found out that Annalise has the sight because she had a vision. And after Draco brought you to the Black Lack to relax he gave you a pendent of a Dragon.

  1. The months start to pass and I'm buried under piles of homework, barely given room to breath until Christmas break arrives. Right as I am preparing for a relaxing break Lewis asks the impossible. "Will you go to Slughorn's Christmas party with me?"
  2. I look up from my essay on Venomous Tentacula and think over what he just said. "Are you asking me to go to one of those lame Slug club parties you are always complaining about?" I ask a little amused by this. "Yeah well we get to take somebody, and I don't want to go through the whole process of asking a girl out-""Ouch," I say as I laugh. "I know you're a girl I just don't want to ask that would say no-" "Ouch yet again. Why don't you stop talking, you're just digging yourself a hole," I cut him off again.
  3. He takes my advice for a few seconds then he asks, "But will you go with me?" A long sigh passes through my lips as I contemplate the possibility of dressing up and mingling with people I don't like just so Lewis doesn't have to be lonely and sad. "Yeah I'll go," I cave and turn back to my essay.
  4. *FLASH-FORWARD* "I can't believe you're making me do this," I say flatly as I come out of the common room to find Lewis waiting for me. His eyes widen as he takes in my plain black silk, knee-length dress. He stares for too long and I start to flush. "Stop staring, I'm just wearing a dress, it's nothing special,"
  5. We start towards Slughorn's office, my hand on his arm. "Sorry, but if I have to suffer through another one of these, I'm making you suffer too," he explains. I groan at his words, "Is it really that bad?" "Oh yes it is. All he cares about is future prospects who will get him free things," he says sharply.
  6. When we walk into his office, the party is already in full swing. Older people who I've never know walked around talking, along with student doing the same. "This is going to be fun," I say sarcastically. Lewis just gives me a look that requires no words, 'Yeah right,'
  7. Slughorn comes up to greet us, only minding me for a second before taking Lewis away for a chat. I stand awkwardly to the side watching the party happen around me. The only people I recognize are Hermione, Harry, Ginny and Luna, but I haven't really talked to any of them since last year, they might not want to start up again now. I get some punch and start to wander looking for Lewis, but end up running into Hermione.
  8. "Hey Annalise, it's great seeing you!" Hermione says completely ignoring her friend. He looks a bit annoyed at her sudden change of topic but he stays close to her. Her eyes tell me that she seriously needs to get away, and I could be her gateway. "Hey Hermione, I just remembered that I have something to tell you," I look at her friend, "It's kind of private, I just need to take her away for a bit," I smile and lead her across the room. She sighs with relief and gives me thanks for freeing her. All I say is 'your welcome' and walk outside of the crowded room.
  9. As I walk out into the cool air, I see someone walk past the corridor, intriguing my interests. I walk briskly down the hall to try and catch up to whomever it maybe. As I walk around the corner I'm caught off guard by the figure standing there waiting for me.
  10. "Are you following me?" Draco asks fiercely, with a wild look in his eyes as he looks around me. "No, well not really I was just wondering who was down here," Even after I explain myself he still has a wild look in his eyes. "What are you doing down here anyways?" I ask demanding his attention. "Nothing you need to know. You should go before you get caught," He looks me up and down, pausing at the small pendent around my neck. "You wore it," he says softly as he picks up the dragon between his fingers. "Yeah, I thought it went with my earrings," I say self-consciously as I finger a silver flamed earring. "You look different, with you hair up I mean," he says as he brushes back a curl behind me ear.
  11. I keep quiet to calm my breath, then I ask, "What is it about you that makes me think you've changed?" I whisper. When I look back up at him it seems like he's gotten closer. All we do is breath quickly at each others closeness, not wanting to break the fragile moment. It may have been my imagination, but he seemed to have been leaning closer when the footsteps stopped him. "I haven't. You should stay away from me, for your own good," he says then starts to walk away.
  12. I watch him leave around the corner in a daze. It's only when Filch comes up to me talking about roaming the corridors, did I come back to reality. As I walk back into the party, I'm assaulted by hands turning me back out the door. "Bye Professor, I really have to be going," Lewis says to Slughorn as we run out the door. "I'm not going to ask where you were the whole time, but I will ask if you had a good time?" He said sarcastically. I reply with an equal amount of sarcasm, "Grand,"
  13. As I lay in bed, all that passes through my mind are the short few minutes I spent with Draco in the hall. When he's not around, it's easy to think of him as the evil boy I've known. But when I'm with him, it's as if everything's changed. He's different, weak, vulnerable, something that draws me in and wants to make me care for him. Though I want to spend more time analyzing the topic, sleep soon captured me and rendered me incapacitated.
