Welcome to part 1 of my career quizzes! So today you are hired as a teacher, and this quiz will determine whether you would be a good teacher or not.

So…Imagine you're teaching students fractions. I know this question might seem random, but what type of example would you use?
- Pizza slices. Gotta use something that kids know and love.
- Cars in a parking lot. Hey, if my kids have a sense of humor, might just throw in a pink car with someone falling out and hope the students notice. Hehe.
- Candies in a bag. Kids still like candy, right?
- Nothing. Just use a circle and split it up into parts. There we go.
If you were a K2 teacher and a kid asks “What's 2+2” how do you explain it to them?
- “Okay, so if I have two fingers right here” *holds up two fingers* “then I add two fingers” *holds up another two fingers and puts it next to the first two* “Then I can count it and that's 2+2!”
- “Oh just draw two lines then draw another two lines then count the total number of lines there you go”
- “I feel like that's unfair to tell you that but not explain it to the whole class so later”
- “If I have two candies” *holds up candies* “Then I add another two candies” *holds up more candies* “Then how many candies do I have in total?”
Alright these next questions are questions about rules. Would you let your students wear jewelry and makeup?
- Yeah, I'm fine with that.
- Of course! They're expressing themselves, and I want them to do that!
- No. They'll get distracted.
- Nope. That ain't happening.
Would you let your students chew gum?
- Fine, just don't blow it. If you blow it then I'm MAD.
- No. Just don't. It's distracting to other students to see someone just going like *chew chew chew smack smack lip smack*
- Sure. Yeah, I get it, class is boring, and gum tastes nice.
- No, not letting you. What you supposed to do when you don't wanna chew anymore? Just spit it into someone's hair or stick it under the already filthy tables NO!
Would you let girls show their shoulders?
- Hell no
- Yes. Why are school dress codes like “oH yoU cAn'T shOw Your shOuLders” no let them do it.
- It's distracting to the class so no.
- Duh why not
How do you make sure that no one's skipping class?
- I present…EXHIBIT A, THE MACHINE! If someone's not in their seat, then I call the secretary, who calls their parents to make sure that they're sick or something.
- Idk. I'm gonna just let them have fun.
- If they're gone and their parents haven't emailed, then IMA BE ANGRYYYYY.
- I have no idea, but I'll try.
How would you deal with it if you walked outside a classroom then you come back and you find absolute chaos. The class clown is throwing paper balls around, the teacher's pet is trying to calm things down, and the popular girls are filming TikToks. What would you do?
- Raise your arms and yell “GUYS STOP IT!”
- Switch the board to “If you stop yelling then I'll pretend that this never happened.” and hope someone notices it.
- Go take a seat, and start playing games on your phone. We'll all have fun.
- Walk back outside until they stop.
What would you do if you had a famous social media account then you walk into class one day and a student says “Hey Mr/Mrs! Is this your channel? It's really funny! I'm gonna give you a follow!” then the rest of the class also starts following.
- “Oh, thanks guys!”
- “Cheers, mate!”
- “Everyone calm down!!!”
- *Just stands there and says nothing*
What if it's the last day of middle school for the students then one of them walks up to you and asks if you can come in their video which is just like, saying goodbye to middle school? What would you say?
- “Sorry, but no.”
- “Sure!”
- “Of course, mate!”
- “No.”
What's your teaching style?
- Straightforward and formal. You just teach like a normal teacher, by explaining stuff. Then you allow students to ask questions.
- Make it interesting. Like, if you're teaching history, you start it off with an interesting question about the topic. For example, about the titanic, you could ask,”What if the Titanic had enough lifeboats?” and try to start a discussion and let the students talk among themselves and argue it out.
- HAVE FUN. Make everything a game. Do math games online. Play quiz games like Kahoot or Blooket.
