A parenting style that is high in demand and high in support. Authoritative parents set clear standards and limits for their children and are firm about enforcing them; at the same time, they allow their children considerable autonomy within those limits, are attentive and responsive to their children's concerns and needs, and respect and consider their children's perspective.

That sounds reasonable and a smart choice. I'm 11 years old now, but when I get older and have children I would like to be that type of parent. It's neat to see how each type of parent is different, but I've met many, many, MANY really MEAN parents, and that's sad and un-fun to see. I wish there were more nice but responsible parents and less mean parents.
