What sounds like the best place to study?
- An old tower with the windows opened so the musty room begins to air itself out. It smells like rain and old books and ink. You're in a soft chair, your books open in your lap, and a blanket draped over your shoulders. Rain is softly hitting the leaves of the trees outside, and a clock is ticking on the table beside you. Aside from that, it is quiet.
- A room with lots of windows, from which you can see a storm raging outside. Every so often, a flash of lightning illuminates the trees on the other side of the window, and thunder shakes the room. The room is large and open. There are chairs and sofas and cushions throughout the room. People sit between them and on them, talking and laughing. You are sitting by the roaring fire with a group of people. The studying and work is really a team effort now, and people from all over the room help people in other groups. It's loud and cheerful.
- A clean room with lots of windows, all open. There are chaises and couches furnishing the room, all dark and with clean lines. You can hear people talking, but only faintly. There is minimal clutter and decoration, but it feels comfortable. You are sitting in an oversize chair in front of a window, looking out at the mountainous landscape under a stormy sky. No one bothers you, and you are calm and focused.
- A bright, cozy room in which there are few people. Some come and go, but they don't stay for long. There are plants everywhere, along with pillows and blankets. You are sitting on the floor by the fire, with a group of close friends, all your things spread on the plush rug around you. You have a cup of your favorite hot drink and a cat beside you, purring loudly as it sleeps.

- The internet and trends -people are way too obsessed with these mindless, trivial things. There are much better things to be doing with our time, but it seems as if everyone is either glued to their phones or quoting the latest news.
- People who just want to complain about a bad situation; they refuse to fix it or actually do anything about it
- Limitations and barriers -pointless rules, really, that keep you from reaching your full potential and allowing you to explore as you go, and things that make it so we can't get to what we want to get to. Language barriers, for instance.
- Assumptions and generalizations. People that don't try to get to know someone or something before they make a quick assumption, or people who think that just because some people have a certain trait, anyone associated with them does. Because then, if you don't fit in with what they say they think a certain thing is supposed to be, you or others can feel left out or like you don't belong.

- Sitting outside in the evening. You are surrounded by woods, and there is a large fire going in the burn pit. It's a little chilly, so you have a hat and sweater on. A lot of your friends are gathered around the fire, looking up at the stars and telling stories. You've got a few scratches and bruises on your face from a day in the woods, but you don't mind. You feel perfectly content as you laugh and eat, outside and happy.
- Sitting in a room on an icy winter day. You are in a chair under a window, facing a fire. Sunlight streams in, warming your back, and you can't see the snow. You have warm socks on your cold feet, and a mug of warm cocoa in your hand. A cat is in your lap, purring loudly as it sleeps. You look at all the holiday decorations that are up, smiling at the ones you remembered making. Some of your friends are in the room with you, and occasionally you jump in on their conversation.

- The one just to the left, which is a trampled, often walked upon, sandy path that walks along the side of the sea. The water is calm and clear, but no one seems to be out there.
- The one straight ahead, which leads into a small village. From the top of the hill, you can hear voices and music, as if there's a festival going on. You can smell food, even from up here, and just beyond the village is a flower-laden meadow
- The one just to the right, which leads directly to a forest. The path doesn't continue into the forest, and the forest looks as if it's uninhabited by humans. The trees are dense, and you can hardly see any light filtering through the leaves. The forest is very wide, and goes back as far as you can see.
- The one farthest to the right, which leads over another hill and to a castle. The castle is old but in good shape, though the path leading to it is overgrown with bushes and brambles.
Why would you join the D.A.?
- I wouldn't
- Because it's the right thing to do
- Because someone has to stand up to Umbridge, even if they aren't public about it
- Because I have to learn what she won't teach
- Because I can't let Umbridge and the Ministry get away with what they are trying to get away with. Someone has to defy them!
What makes Hogwarts so magical? (aside from the magic)
- The fact that it's an old castle. There's so much history and it's so different from the world we live in today.
- The lack of technology. We really get to focus on the magic and out studies and our friendships, rather than being stuck on our phones or watching TV. There's so much to explore, and it's more fun without the gadgets
- The creatures. The house-elves in the kitchens, the hippogriffs in the forest, the mermaids in the lake
- The history. Great witches and wizards that went there, getting to experience the things your parents talk of (or dream of) and learning about the rich history of magic
