  There was a tragedy at the school on the day of the school trip, it was a miracle no one died.... Except that isn't true. 4 girls had to stay behind.
  
  C1 had forgotten her permission slip purposefully, she didn't have any friends to hang out with in the trip
  
  C2 had no one to sign her permission slip, she was an orphan
  
  C3 was banned from the trip for being a troublemaker
  
  C4 refused to go on the trip. She was going to be forced to go on the boys trip (she's trans)
  
  They died in the school but we're given a second chance by a mysterious creature who promised them special abilities in exchange for their help.
