‘You sure?’ Maeve sat next to her. -

Lavender gave a small nod, leaning into her. She looked up. "Would you even want the press to know that you're gay?" She asked quietly. -

Maeve sighed. She shuffled closer to Lavender. ‘Well… I hope they don’t find out. It’s just better that way.’ -

Lavender held her closer. "Makes sense. If they ask, would you lie?" She was genuinely asking out of curiosity. -
‘Yeah, I’d have to.’ Maeve let her, leaning against her.

Lavender gave a small nod. "Okay." She took Maeve's hand gently.

Maeve let her, smiling slightly.

Lavender smiled back, kissing her cheek.

Maeve blushed.

Lavender hugged her close. "I'm sorry the reporters were being such a--holes."

Maeve blushed harder. She hugged her back, smiling. ‘It’s fine. I don’t care about them.’

"You sounded pretty pissed." Lavender mumbled.

‘If I sounded happy, they wouldn’t have gone away,’ Maeve said, pulling her closer.

"Fair enough." Lavender shrugged, kissing her cheek again. She didn't mention how much Maeve startled her when she was angry,

Maeve hugged her close. ‘Don’t you have to go back to work?’
