Maeve booped her nose. She wasn’t the best with making people feel better.

Lavender looked up at her, wide brown eyes giving her the puppy dog eye type expression. "Why do you like me? You could've picked literally any other girl. Why me?"

Maeve thought she was really cute, even if she was upset. ‘I didn’t have much of an option, you’re the only one who likes me,’ she said, trying to joke. ‘You’re awesome.’

Lavender frowned slightly. She knew Maeve was joking, but it still made her overthink it just a bit. So the second a new option shows up, I could get tossed aside?

Maeve figured her joke didn’t really work out. ‘I mean, like, you’re awesome! And I like being with you, you’re really kind and pretty.’

Lavender leaned into her slightly. "Okay." She said softly. She wasn't super satisfied with that answer, but it wasn't worth making Maeve worry about her again.

Maeve didn’t know what else to say to make her feel better. She held her close, playing with her hair.

Lavender buried into her. "Now can we talk about you?" She asked. Maybe if she changed the subject, it would help distract her brain.

‘If you want to,’ Maeve said softly, letting her and hugging her close.

Lavender nodded. "I want to know what your life is like."

‘You’ve seen what my life is like.’

"I want to know more." Lavender looked up at her. "What's your birthday? Your favorite color? Stuff like that, things I should know but I don't."

‘January 16. And mauve.’

(ha maeve likes mauve)
Lavender gave a small nod, mentally noting that. "Oooo, pretty." She mumbled with a small smile. -
(Exactly she only likes it because it’s her name otherwise she’d think it’s ugly)
Maeve smiled. ‘What about you?’
