Lavender and Maeve

"You could find a million other pretty kind girls." Lavender mumbled, avoiding her beautiful eyes. "I bet they don't spiral like this." She said the last part so quietly that she half hoped Maeve wouldn't overhear it, in case she realized Lavender had a point and left her.
-
‘But that’s what makes you Lavender! I like you a lot,’ Maeve held her face still. She wasn’t used to having to say she loved people.
-
(MAEVE ME TOO GIRL OMFG)
Lavender looked into her eyes, her own wide and tearing up a bit. "What's stopping you from teleporting right now and finding someone else?" She asked quietly. She wasn't sure why that of all things was what she was thinking of the most. What's stopping her from finding someone better? -
(SAME DUDE SAME LMAOOO)
‘The fact that you’re amazing and I really really like you,’ Maeve said softly. She didn’t like seeing Lavender cry, and didn’t know how to make her feel better. -
(SHES SUCH A QUEEN FOR THAT ONE GODDAMN IT)
Lavender tried really hard not to cry, which only made her eyes want to tear up more. She wanted to prove that she wasn't fragile, that she could handle a couple problems, but her stupid eyes wouldn't let her. She buried her head in her hands again to hide her frustrated tears. "Sorry. Just forget I said anything." Her voice was muffled by her hands. -
(FOR REALS WE LOVE MAEVE)
Maeve tried to pry her hands off her face and held her close, wiping her tears with her thumb. ‘Hey, it’s okay,’ she said, trying to calm her down. She didn’t know what to do. ‘Do you want to, uh, let it out?’ -
(I LOVE HER SO MUCH)
Lavender leaned into her touch, looking up at her. She felt like s--- for making Maeve take care of her. "Let it out? How?" -
‘Like, cry a lot. I don’t mind,’ Maeve said, playing with her hair.
-
"I'm already crying." Lavender gave a small chuckle, leaning into her.
-
Maeve wiped her face again, kissing her forehead. ‘Okay.’
-
Lavender buried her face in Maeve's shoulder. "I'm sorry."
-
‘Why are you sorry?’ Maeve asked, running her fingers through her hair. ‘You don’t need to be sorry.’
-
"I make everything about myself." Lavender held her closer.
-
‘No you don’t. It was already about you.’ Maeve kissed her forehead.
-
"Well maybe it shouldn't be." Lavender looked up at her. "I never hear about your problems, or what your everyday life is like."
