"What kind of pie?" -
"probably another gross meat pie. If we're really unlucky she'll make a water pie, yuck!" Bee said frustrated by the bad food

‘A pie with water in it would be hard to eat,’ Billie mumbled, imagining a pie full of lukewarm water. It would be soggy. He watched the ladybug he’d found fly away, and held Emit, holding his arm and making it wave goodbye to it.

"How the heck would you even eat a water pie?" Onyx muttered, furrowing his brows.

Harley gagged. “Ew, water pie?” She tried not to imagine that.

"it's like she sucked the joy out of a pot pie. There's no meat or vegetables and it smells like old bread." Bee said

Billie held Emit close to his chest, his fingers fiddling with a loose tuft of fur. ‘I don’t like old bread,’ he said matter-of-factly. ‘Can we go inside? My shoes are wet.’ He looked down at his old boots, which were damp from the morning dew.

"So is it literally just water, or?" Onyx asked, raising an eyebrow.

Harley looked very disgusted. This place was hell.

"sometimes there's butter. You should be careful with wet shoes. If your feet stay wet they can rot or something. That's what yessica told me anyways." Bee said

Billie looked horrified. He’d never heard of such a horrible thing before! He imagined his feet rotting like an apple, and immediately stood up, holding Emit tightly. ‘I’m going inside then,’ he spoke. ‘Goodbye.’ Then he ran back to the building.

"yeah, that cannot be good to eat-" onyx muttered, crossing their arms.
